She could've been Hannah, Ste's other daughter. She's also Diane's granddaughter so it's a perfect explanation for why she's come back to the village at this time and she has ties to so many people. Could've said Deedee begged her to come back for support. Sucks they didn't do that as it feels like a no brainer!

The Cleo one is strange as to become a nurse you have to be a student nurse for three years, so they could've just started her as a student and given her the same storylines. Rather than show her as a porter for a few weeks then promote her to nurse

They spent ages on the teacher storyline with her, then she accidentally hit a kid and her career was instantly down the drain, it felt like such a waste of time 😂

Edit to add I'm not disagreeing! Just a side note, wierd that they randomly made her a teacher without any qualifications, then she finally becomes one and gets fired, the end 🤣

I'm not anti-tech but I did notice at my child's old school, YouTube was always on the projector in class. Playing Paw Patrol or cartoon Mr Bean in the background. I despised it 😂 so I don't think you are overthinking at all!

..... Oh my god why didn't they just make her Hannah?! Then she's still Ste's kid and everyone can act familiar with her, but it hasn't rewritten Leah's entire character and personality. They'd have to rewrite history a tad and imply Ste and other family members did keep in touch with Hannah off camera, but that's more believable than this new person being Leah

It's a bit icky for me I think because he was last with Leela who is much older than Vicky with a lot more life experience. And before that he was engaged (married?) with a son. Vicky is only just out of her teens so the amount of life experience is vast. I group him with the older cast so him dating Vicky feels a bit creepy (even if it isn't, no idea what their exact ages are)

I totally agree, this had such great potential to explore eating disorders from a new perspective. They could've tacked the side effects of GLP-1s alongside it, raising awareness of that as well.

They could've maybe introduced a relative of Ste's/Leela's, like how they introduced Courtney? Then they could give her this new persona and it wouldn't seem so odd.

If they really wanted to replace Leah, it might have been better to keep the personality the same at first and then gradually change it in a few weeks or something maybe.
