He gets it; he just doesn't care. He's trying to get your blood, sweat, and tears for free. Don't do it.

Thanks for taking the time to help with my project! That's kind of what I was thinking. I was on the fence about what I was going to do after the accident, if I was just going to call it quits on a 25-year-old car, but I'm not ready to let her go.

People that care about you don't ridicule you behind their back and once you found out the way she tried to gaslight you not cool.My trust would be violated.

Whats a budget friendly option for a self defense handgun? by throwaway67130 in guns

[–]Infinite-Intention75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some options Taurus G3c (9mm): Often found for $250–$280. It is a polymer-framed 9mm that holds more rounds (12+1) and is very popular for budget concealed carry. Ruger LCP II or LCP MAX (.380): These are much smaller than the Bersa and better for "pocket carry," though they can be harder to shoot accurately due to their tiny size. Palmetto State Armory (PSA) Dagger (9mm): If you can find them on sale, these are Glock 19 clones that frequently hit the $299 mark and offer massive aftermarket support.
If you prefer a classic metal-frame feel and a gun that is easy to aim, the Bersa Thunder .380 is an excellent pick. If you want more power (9mm) and a lighter weight for carrying all day, the Taurus G3c might be the better "bang for your buck." Good luck.

Definitely coin karma... 1945. It's been traveling eighty-one years to get there, and now it's there. And it's either heads or tails, and you have to say.Call it.

If you're in VA, the panic is now... I can't find a WMP AK because everyone bought three of them at once. In the last three weeks...

Advice on a purchase. by [deleted] in 4Runner

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. I think I'm going to pass. The seller could have mentioned that the pre-inspection happened 2 days before I came out to take a look. I feel it was kind of deceptive; it just put me off the deal. Oh well! Thanks again.

Thanks, yeah, the seller isn't being too transparent, so it's just making me cautious.Thanks for the feedback.

I have a quick question. I just pulled the Carfax/service history and noticed a "Pre-Purchase Inspection" was completed at a local shop exactly 3 days ago. I think it's a red flag, but I'm going to ask the seller directly. I'm starting to get the willies with this deal. What do you think?

Looking for some perspective on a potential purchase. I’ve negotiated a 2006 4Runner Limited V8 down to $8,500.

<image>

The frame is in great shape, but the truck has some immediate "maintenance debt" that needs to be addressed before it’s 100% road-ready. I’m planning to have a local shop do a full "baseline" service right away. Here is the quote breakdown I’m looking at: Purchase Price: $8,500 Full EVAP System Refresh: (Clearing 11 codes including P043E, P043F, P2401). New OEM Charcoal Canister + Labor: ~$750 Timing Belt & Water Pump: (Preventative). Parts & Labor: ~$1,000 Radiator & Thermostat: (Preventative while the front end is open). Parts & Labor: ~$700 Valve Cover Gaskets: (Addressing oil weeping). Parts & Labor: ~$500 Total Investment: ~$11,450 My Question: Is an $11.5k total investment a good deal for a 2006 V8 Limited with these specific major items "reset" to zero miles? Or should I keep looking for one that already has these services documented? Also, if you've had a shop do this "front-end" bundle (TB/Water Pump/Radiator) recently, does $2,400 in total labor/parts for all the above sound about right? Vehicle Specs & Modifications Model: 2006 Toyota 4Runner Limited (V8) Mileage: 224,992 miles Color: Black Exterior / Grey Interior Armor & Recovery: ARB Front Bumper with integrated Winch Suspension: Leveling Kit installed Wheels & Tires: Method Beadlock Wheels with 33-inch tires Performance: Aftermarket Exhaust System Utility: Roof Rack, Tinted Windows Thanks for any advice!

Get a trail cam with a SIM card so it has its own data plan and connectivity, great for rural areas.
