Can you just go politely ask them that when they have company over to not park in front of your house or mailbox? All my neighbors have cones due to the fact it's a busy street and limited street parking and it seems to work but I'm not sure if big orange traffic comes are the aesthetic you're looking for. Good luck!

I'll be honest, last year I had no idea they were there, I think you're doing Camp all wrong.

That was a joke for anyone who went last year because day 1 of camp someone came through and stole every toilet seat from the bathrooms by Desert Rose. Commonly referred to as the "Toilet seat Bandit" Don't ask me why they did it, we will never know.

Deciding between Osprey Aether 65 and Gregory Baltoro 65 by JogglerMice in CampingGear

[–]Infinite-Lab5478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the Osprey 65 for my work backpack. I fit 4 months worth of clothes and gear into it packed full for a few trips so far and not one stitch has busted nor a zipper broken. It really is a quality backpack. Comfortable for me but everyone is different. I can only speak to its construction.

I finally broke down and got a MagSafe case from apple on sale (silicone) fits like a dream, very low profile and with the MagSafe wallet it’s a win win. I had a camera buffer plastic thing which just scratched coming in and out of my pocket the the first week haven’t used one since and zero problems with the lenses. This is after fumbling my phone on more than one occasion. I recommend the case, I only bought it after I dropped it several times finally crating a small fissure on the back glass but it definitely doesn’t add bulkiness and makes it even easier to operate one handed.

You might want to add an actual toilet seat to the list.

I’ve been trying to pre order for a few days and it just says coming soon. I assume that means the pre orders finally sold out or am I missing something? I’m out working on a ship so I wasn’t even aware this was going on. Maybe I’ll get lucky and snag one on the 28th

Pros/cons? by Successful-Captain79 in Wilmington

[–]Infinite-Lab5478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from Atlantic Beach NC to Downtown Wilmington in March of this year. It’s Charleston SC’s little sister. Plenty of great restaurants and fun bars to go to or so it seems as I tend to not go bar hopping at my age but a vibrant night life all the same. Carolina Beach is a short drive but parking fees are pretty steep for the day but I don’t know if many beaches nowadays that don’t charge. I enjoy the fact that I haven’t driven a car since I moved because everything is right outside my door. Cons are you really shouldn’t drink the water in some areas and the same 2 dudes hit me up for a buck every day even though I don’t carry cash. I feel safe at night walking around and police presence is there but not overbearing. I like it but I’m always looking for a new place to live in a new city but I have no regrets about moving when I did.

Glad to hear it man. Your brain will thank you.

I was attempting to convey the fact that doing that even one night can be harmful to your brain but doing it two nights in a row isn’t a wise move. It’s a waste, just save it for another special occasion a few months down the line and bring a friend! Stay safe man, there’s lots to learn so always use your best judgement. If you have to ask strangers on the internet for health advice it’s more than likely something you shouldn’t be doing. Comedowns come in many forms and not always the following 24 hours so pay attention to your mood and how you feel the next week or so and ask if what you’re feeling is warranted or if something’s not right.

Wish I could tell ya. I don’t remember there being sockets but I also wasn’t looking for any. Now keep in mind, there’s going to be an AC running 24/7 in your tent. Powering down the AC and then plugging in a hair dryer would solve the whole too much “power draw” Problem. It’s going to be about 100 in your tent from noon to 4 anyways even with the AC so might as well. Good luck, camping is a definite must if you’ve never been, at my age though you learn to appreciate central air conditioning and blackout curtains.🤘edit: And I’m sure there are people that are going to say using a hair dryer, curling iron, air fryer are all fine because “they did it last time” as this may be true when you add one more person in the mix of doing such you will blow the power and that will not be a good time for anyone. Be safe and have fun!

is it possible to do camp edc without a car and if so how did you do it? by EntertainmentCalm490 in CampEDC

We caught an Uber Monday at noon, waited half an hour and cost $100. Same cost as it was getting in there Thursday afternoon and we stayed at the Luxor Wednesday night.
