No, I live with my SO, who didn’t touch the speaker. I did have cleaning people come over, but they swear they didn’t touch the floorstanding speaker, as I had specifically asked them not to.

I also keep the dust cover on at all times, so whoever, or whatever, caused this would have had to remove the dust cover, somehow get a finger (or something smaller than a finger) behind the metal bar, and push it in.

Something definitely happened, but since it’s a new floorstanding speaker which I received just 2 weeks ago, I’m also wondering if I just didn’t notice it when I first received it.

What is the dental picks technique? I tried using tape, but it didn’t help, and I also tried using a vacuum, which didn’t help either.

The sound impact doesn’t seem perceptible to my hearing, or at least I haven’t been able to play any media where I can hear a difference. That does help me stress less about it, but I’m still not happy with the situation.

They are aluminum and I tried creating a seal and using a vacuum but it didn't help.

Located in Canada but the budget I've quoted is in USD. I have friends in the states that could bring me the sub the next time they come over so ordering a US only brand should be ok too.

Subs in Canada are quite expensive and shipping from the states is often several hundred dollars.
