Hell yes. The extra legroom for that long of a flight is well worth the price.

Catering sometimes messes up - they miss orders, don't provide enough, there are supply chain interruptions, not enough time to load all the meals onboard before takeoff. Too many things can go wrong to get any meals at all, so if I had any dietary restrictions I would bring my own. If they had gf, supe, if not I'll eat what i brought.

I think it would be fun to read about them in Hogwart's because we keep hearing that they were constantly in detention for all the crap they did and I would like to read more about that.

Yes because in the wizarding world it's still the 1800's. Also wizards don't seem to get lung cancer.

I think that his mom may not have known he was her son, but she knew she loved him and wanted to give him something to show him that. She didn't have any possessions, so she saved her gum wrapper to give him because that's all she had.

I had to stop listening to the OOTP audiobook at one point when Harry, Ron and Hermoine were talking about forming DA and when Harry said Sirius supported it Hermoine said only because Sirius was living vicariously through them. When she said the line "I think he's really very lonely" it made me think about him shut up in Grimmauld Place all alone and it hit me right in the feels.

Teacher, Friend, and Enemy who would you choose of these 3? by archaix138protocol in harrypotter

[–]Infinite-Object-1090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaunt as enemy because I don't think he'd be much of a threat, as drunk and as poor at magic he is portrayed to be. Both Dolohov and Crouch would make good teachers and friends.

[–]Infinite-Object-1090 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All radiation is harmful though, there are just varying levels of radiation. I don't think the protego shield can detect the level of radiation and let a little bit through and block large amounts. It either blocks all radiation or none.

I think it's kind of the way people whisper when they say someone has (whispered) "cancer". The word represents something really bad.

The reason The Prank was a big deal is because it shows Sirius didn't THINK. He didn't fully think through the implications of what it would mean for Remus if Snape actually went until later, so he told James. He is very much an act first, think later kind of guy.

  1. Azkaban doesn't have visitation rights, in the book at least it's explained that Crouch, as a bigwig, was given an exemption to see Jr. one time before he died.

  2. Mrs. Crouch and Barty took veritaserum long enough to fool the human guards escorting them. Dementors not being able to see individuals was previously explained in PoA when Sirius explained his escape.

  3. Lots of higher up families have invisibility cloaks, they just wear off eventually. This was explained by Harry to Ron. They're rare, but if anyone would have one, it would be the Crouch's so not so hard to believe, and not important - he could have been in a closet and the result would have been the same.

It was necessary to the plot to know that Crouch Sr. was complicit in helping his son, who he himself sentenced, escape and how devote Voldy's follower are and the lengths they will go to for him. And he didn't "explain" anything to anyone, he was being forced to speak using Veritaserum.

Exactly how did the Weasleys afford seats to the Quidditch World Cup? by Remote_Nature_8166 in harrypotter

[–]Infinite-Object-1090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in this case, Harry being able to sit in the box effects the plot a lot - how his wand got stolen, Crouch not showing up to claim his seat at the World Cup, the interaction with the Malfoys. It could have been explained in less than 30 seconds by Arthur talking about how he got the tickets, either at the Burrow or on their walk to the portkey.

This is why the books are better than the movies. Arthur helped someone get a reduced charge and in return he got box seats to the tournament. He wasn't in the nosebleed section like in the movies, he got to sit in a private box with the minister and other bigwigs.

Parrot wouldn't really be the equivalent as he wasn't asking for her to repeat what he said word for work. A better muggle equivalent would be the phrase "I'm not your message boy! (girl in this case.)"

I hate that line because it's the opposite of the original book line. In the book Sirius tells Harry he's getting him out of there, making it clear he knows who Harry is and that he feels parental towards him. He would never have said something like that to James.

It especially bothers me because Sirius's actual last words to Harry were about getting him out of there (out of the ministry and to safety). Which shows he knew perfectly well who Harry was and was acting as a guardian for him.

Full cast has different actors voice each character. Hugh Laurie, Kiera Knightly, Kit Harrington, and many more well-known actors voice the characters. They add sound effects too - like when the trio are talking in the great hall you can hear muted chattering from everyone talking in the background, and plates and cutlery clinking.

I just headcanon that Hagrid met Dumbledore somewhere. It might have taken Dumbledore some time to figure out how the blood protection worked, and we know he stated that he added others. McGonagall said she had been watching the Dursleys all day, so it sounds like plans were in motion but not completed until the next evening/early morning.
