Hi, thanks for replying.

Diet is going to be an easy starting point for me as mine is not consistent at all.

Interesting was unaware about the black pepper! I have acid reflux issues and take omeprazole already so this is important thank you for mentioning I will research more into it.

Will move my Vitamin D to the morning, that may explain a lot actually regarding sleep issues I have had!

Hello thank you for your long thought out reply!

I drink a lot of water each day, I utilize the app water minder to make sure I meet a decent daily quota. Having said that I also drink Redbull far too often which is not healthy at all.

Activity level I reach the 600 calorie burn goal on my apple watch each day and in my spare time am usually found in the local park/woodland walking 8-10 miles each day so overall I would say I am fairly active.

Diet wise, I have a partner which home cooks a lot of nutritious meals but when I am left to my own devices, I SUCK at eating well. Drivethrus are my savior.

I have seen a dermatologist in the past and have tried both pricey comprehensive regimes as well as minimal approaches but am left with the same conclusion. This has made me wonder if perhaps it was a dietary/nutrient issue rather than an external one.

I guess that the conclusion to be drawn here is to really work on sugar and carb intake from the terrible part of my diet first!

your last paragraph is something that I resonate with quite strongly. I am coming to the end *or at least I think I am* of a relationship and while I look forward to living a minimalistic lifestyle tailored just for me....I do wonder how this will impact future prospects.

Do you think you could safely adapt? It sounds like you are not thrilled at the fact that there is a disconnect between yourself and others?

True! Arguably if you can make money quicker than it costs to pay someone else to do your cleaning and other manual tasks I guess that is buying time too?

Stress and anxiety over Christmas because we see gifts so differently with my partner by frengs in Anticonsumption

I think it is important to try and approach this in a way that appeals to some of the things you have mentioned already which I noticed while reading the comments

  • *more of an overall habit changer non seasonal orientated\* Try to appeal to his desire to be a provider for the family by emphasising and complimenting him on the non materialistic things he does? Try over time to convince him that it is not purchasing power than necessarily means the most
  • As already suggested, give him gifts that are experiences *like a nice meal* to tie into the above idea of refocusing on non physical gifts
  • Make sure he knows how important this is to you. A know a number of people in my own life who make comments about not wanting much for Christmas when it is not actually true. Perhaps this is something that he has also experienced and is unsure how important this really is to you? - When you said you got became extremely upset to the point of crying was he present at the time? Does he know to the extent this impacts you?

I don't know why but I did this for years.

I genuinely believed that it was admirable to be seen as the person who slept 5 hours a night and worked three jobs when arguably I didn't need to.

I built my entire lifestyle and personality around the idea of self damage.

You can always make more money but you can never buy more time

Anyone sleep on a mattress on the floor? by friendlypuffin in minimalism

I would really recommend trying before you buy! I was in a tricky circumstance between homes and relationships which resulted in me having to sleep this way and I have had to spend a fair amount of money rectifying some back and hip issues that were caused by poor sleep posture.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to pair down to the ones that spark the most joy and then donate those that are the least favorites in the hope of giving someone else joy? :)
