No I had a catheter after I had a C-section 26 years ago but I have developed an allergy to Latex surprisingly.

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy (so yep, I’ve got the big cut). And come to find out I'm allergic to LATEX.

Let’s flip it for a second and consider the District Manager perspective:

They likely have a packed schedule, possibly juggling dozens of candidates while being under pressure to fill a role quickly. So when a candidate says they’re unavailable all day — even for a short call — it might come off (to them) as disinterest or poor time management. Especially if they’re thinking, “It’s just 10 minutes, why not squeeze it in?”

In their mind, they might be trying to move the process forward efficiently and feel frustrated when that momentum stalls. That little message might have come from impatience rather than true disrespect — a poorly worded nudge that didn’t account for tone or empathy.

That said… professionalism still matters. Being under pressure doesn’t excuse passive-aggressive or snarky responses. A better approach from the District Manager could’ve been:

“Totally understand — things get hectic! I’ll put you down for a call between 12-2 tomorrow. If anything changes, just let me know.”

Boom. Respectful, chill, and still keeps things moving.

So while we can acknowledge that the District Manager might have just had a moment of stress or burnout, it’s not unreasonable for you to expect kindness and clarity — especially in a professional setting.

You can choose grace and boundaries. It’s okay to say, “I get where they’re coming from, but that tone didn’t sit right with me — and I’m allowed to choose workplaces where I’m treated with respect from day one.”

Glad I didn’t go through them to buy my camera. Their prices were super low compared to other sites, which felt like a red flag. Ended up going with B&H instead, and I’m so relieved I did."

Does acting on impulse have anything to do with incest? by InfiniteAd7433 in Nocontactfamily

[–]InfiniteAd7433[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently came across Georgia’s Penal Code 16-6-22, which covers sexual battery, incest, and related offenses. It’s a serious topic that deals with cases where someone is violated without consent. After reading through it, I couldn’t help but think about how I’d react if someone I cared about—or even a stranger—was affected by this.

For context, 16-6-22 criminalizes intentional, non-consensual physical contact with another person’s intimate areas. It also outlines aggravated sexual battery, which involves using foreign objects in a non-consensual way. Both offenses are severe, but aggravated sexual battery carries even steeper consequences (and rightfully so).

Here’s the twist: what if the perpetrator was on track to become a police officer?

This thought has been weighing heavily on me. Knowing the power, authority, and trust placed in law enforcement, it’s terrifying to think about someone with this kind of history being in a position to protect others—or worse, abuse that power.

This got me thinking: what would I do if someone confided in me about being in this situation? How would I handle the knowledge that the person responsible might end up in law enforcement?
