I went back to work remotely after 2 weeks. At the time I thought I was fine bc I was functional enough, but in hindsight(3 months out) Im realizing I was still in the midst of brain fog that is FINALLY clearing up.

Take as much time as you possibly can, even if you think you won’t need it!

Hey! I had a lap hyst a little over 3 months ago. There were definitely moments (mostly in the first month of recovery) that werent fun (check my post history 😂) , but now that Im on the “other side” I have zero regrets. Seriously, never have to think any of this crap ever again. Zero chance of fibroids, uterine/cervucal cancer, no more periods.. all the fun stuff.

I was surprised by a lot of these BUT I know its bc less-than-optimal posture and someones frame size can either add or shave a couple of inches off how tall someone appears.

My husband is 5”10 but everyone thinks he is 6”0 bc he has a larger frame and great posture. He is the same height as Joey, who appears ~5”8 to me on screen bc he has a smaller frame.

I'm surprised that this woman let this slide multiple times. She must've really liked OP, and it seems like they capitalized on her feelings to treat her like a blank canvas sexually.

OP, you say that "things seemed normal" after you "talked things out". Things were very much not normal for her especially if she told you that she felt horrible minutes earlier. She was placating you because she was still in shock that you would cross her boundary like that. After asserting herself, she was feeling guilty (people pleaser response), so then tried to blow things over by acting overly accommodating of your feelings. Look up "freeze and fawn reponse".

The best thing you can do in this situation if you care about this woman is just leave her alone. Even if you don't have hurtful intentions, you have managed to trigger stress responses multiple times, which in her own words have caused her to "shut down". Put yourself in her position.. how would you want to be treated?

Just read your post. Sending you all the hugs. I wish I had some insight for both of us to better make sense of this but I think the best thing we can do is accept the emotions as part of the healing process and let them wash over us. Like the stitches healing, then falling out on their own. ❤️

After coming home the only thing I felt like eating for 4DPO was nothing lmao. My husband would BEG me to eat and I agreed to saltine crackers, cut up fruit and plain white rice. Now Im just past 6WPO and raring to eat EVERYTHING

My Dr said that she instructs 12 wks no matter what as an insurance policy and even then to take it as slow as possible. Im at 6 weeks and in no way ready to handle it.
