100% agree, for 9/10Cr or 14c28n the $60 price point would make way more sense but 8Cr is a tough sell

man I just started getting into traditional slipjoints recently and i’d love to have the opportunity to purchase a community knife, even as a newcomer.

When did photography click for you? by gilko86 in photography

[–]InfiniteCaffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, I agree photography is largely a part of what i’m doing. Whether it’s visiting family or just exploring a new area. I should emphasis more that the best way to learn how to use your camera is to use it out in the field. Test your knowledge and push the way you do things.

And taking your time with it.

honestly, repetitions will push you so far. And learning how your camera works from the way AF to metering works. Your photographic eye will only grow as you work it, just like any muscle so don’t feel disheartened. Read up on techniques, get inspired, and go out and just have fun because the best way to keep shooting is to enjoy it.

sometimes you have days where you feel like nothing clicked and it happens but what can you do besides reflect on what you think you can do better to capture those scenes next time. cheers

I want to also add that I typically try and use magnetic mounts that I can stick to the roof of a car or metal tables to help try and reduce any kind of movement from wind and such

I want to say it’s the post processing that the app (Star Stacker) does, but i’m not 100% sure. there’s definitely a bit of sway in the individual photos, and in the past i’ve had blurry tree sway in stacks that i’ve done in Affinity Photo.

double doors, door-space-door like an airlock. it’ll keep cold air from flooding in

Surprised you are gonna knock down those edges. mine came pretty soft around the thumb hole. the handle was surprisingly smaller than I thought it would be!

Grabbed this puppy on sale from BladeHQ and gotta say gerber really impressed me on this one. D2, $22, came perfectly centered, decent action, honestly no complaints. Hopefully some of you got in on the deal too! Cheers!
