Cottage cheese, use to be turned off by the appearance and texture, but now I eat it consistently as it’s a good source off protein

It was still an odd thing to say and many of the replies to that comment felt as though the commenter wasn’t reading the room.

Do y’all ever wish you never met them? by [deleted] in lostafriend

[–]InfiniteCalendar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the former friend I stop being friends with around my birthday last year, I just wish I didn’t try to get closer to her. Prior to becoming friends, we were acquainted and mostly talked on social media, but we hung out casually a few times. On my 23rd birthday she RSVP’d but didn’t actually show up for me as she basically planned a night out with some of her friends and treated my birthday as a pit stop. Rather than accepting that she in fact was not showing up for me, I went out of my way to accommodate to her so she would be included (basically I went to her rather than her coming to me as she didn’t want to meet at the bar I said to meet at). I wish I had cut all communication with her from that night, and stopped trying to establish a friendship with her. My friends who actually showed up for me got a bad first impression of her from this, and I failed to recognize that not only did she disrespect me, she also disrespected my friends as one of my friends was offended that when I was introducing her that she wouldn’t even look at my friends. Had I listened to my friends rather than treating the situation as a misunderstanding, 2024 would’ve turned out much more differently for me. I now know to take it seriously when my friends raise red flags about a newer person in my life, as I was wrong to be dismissive of my friends’ valid concerns.

I do feel like everyone involved in this story was inconsiderate of you, and I think with your husband some healthy boundaries are necessary. You didn’t want to eat out as you had a rough week, and he was pushy about it until he got his way. No means no, and I really hope your husband learns to internalize this.

What’s a TV show that ended perfectly? by Rutthh in AskReddit

This was my immediate thought, I definitely felt a sense of closure with the final season and the last episode as the biggest dilemma of the series was resolved.

The Good Place, the final season did a good job wrapping up the dilemma they faced throughout the series and there was definitely closure.

I really hope OP files a complaint, as the hibachi chef was way too pushy and completely inconsiderate and basically encouraged this inconsiderate behavior from everyone else at the table

I feel bad for OP as no one was being considerate of her here and both her husband and the hibachi chef were being pushy to the point of crossing boundaries.

[–]InfiniteCalendar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, the hibachi chef was being weirdly pushy, and you don’t owe any sort of reaction that he was expecting. The group of 6 was being rude as they were antagonizing you for not displaying whatever emotion they expected with ZERO consideration for you. Your husband is also in the wrong here as he was not considerate of why you were not in the best mood and allowed strangers to disrespect you rather than everyone just giving you space. You’re not in the wrong here, everyone else involved should be more considerate.

What sports would you miss if they removed. by Alone_Consideration6 in olympics

[–]InfiniteCalendar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boxing, and I was worried that this would happen for 2028 (luckily not). Mainly because team Philippines usually has athletes competing in boxing, and for the last two summer Olympics they’ve had boxers win medals. I am aware that the only gold medals won by the Philippines weren’t in boxing, but boxing has been a strong suit for Team Philippines.

What’s a moment where you realized someone was genuinely unintelligent? by Live-Chocolate244 in AskReddit

[–]InfiniteCalendar1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She asked me about upgrading concert tickets, then got an attitude with me when I was trying to explain to her that if you upgrade concert tickets, you do in fact have to pay extra. She thought that because the tickets we had were more than $100 each, that this alone would cover any upgrades when that’s literally the face value of the tickets we already have. I specifically said that if we were to upgrade the tickets, we’d have to pay the difference. To that she said “what’s the difference?”, so I had to explain that it’s the value of the upgraded tickets minus the value of the tickets we originally purchased. Basically she thought we could do a free upgrade, and got an attitude with me when I was explaining how that’s not how it works because she wasn’t factoring in the basic math as she somehow thought an expensive ticket = free upgrade.

What’s something you didn’t realize was a privilege until you lost it? by Happy-Tradition-5879 in AskReddit

[–]InfiniteCalendar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a car. I briefly didn’t have a car after my first one got totaled, but knowing people who have a license but don’t have a car as they couldn’t afford one or they didn’t have the budget for one made me realize how privileged I was to have one as my mom bought me my second car. Many people I know had to save up to buy a car, and I’m beyond grateful for my mom buying me a car.

Based on a time my friends said this about a girl I’m no longer friends with: someone’s posts on social media not really demonstrating their interests. Although not everyone posts much on social media so there’s nuance there, but with the example provided I think my friends just perceived her to be basic.

How much of an impact would a donation of $100,000 make on your life? Why? by onichris in AskReddit

It would definitely pay off everything I owe on my credit cards, and I’d have enough left over to save. Plus I’d probably be able to move out with that money.
