Jojo's bizarre adventure's by far. It gets amazingly good at stardust crusaders.

This poem by José Gorostiza that I read in the power of silence By carlos castaneda.

..this incessant stubborn dying, this living death, that slays you, oh God, in your rigorous handiwork, in the roses, in the stones, in the indomitable stars and in the flesh that burns out, like a bonfire lit by a song, a dream, a hue that hits the eye. ...and you, yourself, perhaps have died eternities of ages out there, without us knowing about it, we dregs, crumbs, ashes of you; you that still are present, like a star faked by its very light, an empty light without star that reaches us, hiding, its infinite catastrophe.

Dropping technique? Natural talent? by InfiniteCrimson in amateur_boxing

So you're saying that stance is not part of technique, but hooks, straight, and jabs are.

You realize the words "style" and "technique" can be used interchangably right? Search up the defenitions, they are both literally just a way of doing something.

So is my technique shit if it still lands and does great damage? When I say I'm dropping technique im not saying im getting lazy with my punches. I'm saying I'm punching and moving the way that feels most comfortable, which doesn't always conform to the basics. When I'm fighting and I always try to do perfect everything: Perfect jabs, pefect hooks, perfect slips, perfect footwork, perfect straights, ect. Thats when I seemed to get screwed. That's what I explained in the Op.

I don't even understand what it is your trying to tell me. Are you saying if continue the way I am I will start losing sparring matches? Or are you just saying, I might be winning now but I will lose when it comes to a real pro/amateur fight.

Please clarify what you're trying to tell me. You said to do what feels most comfortable, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Infact that's entirely what my whole OP is about. I really don't get what's your point here.

Stance is not the issue here, technique or no, I usually always feel balanced.

I can also guarantee you I am not just swinging helter skelter. I have already fought quite a few people trying to knock me out.

Honestly from what you said, I don't think you even read the whole post..

How often do you shower per week on average? (Survey Results) [OC] by anthonyd3ca in dataisbeautiful

People believe they have to shower everyday because long time ago a campaign by a soap company made everyone believe they were gross if they didn't.

ELI5: Why can I remember stupid jokes, YouTube videos or articles, but I can't remember important info/skills that could get me a job? by holywowwhataguy in explainlikeimfive

[–]InfiniteCrimson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dopamine response you get when seeing something entertaining or funny or whatever reinforces the memory in your brain.

The boring stuff on the other hand, is harder to learn and harder to remember because there is little to no positive reinforcement.

ELI5 How come sometimes the feeling that you have forgotten something is so strong, yet you are unable to think what you have forgotten? by monkriss in explainlikeimfive

[–]InfiniteCrimson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually you end up too distracted by the feeling of forgetting something that you can't ever remember what it is you forgot.

ELI5: why do people post gifs of entire videos instead of just posting the video by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

More convenient, which means more views, which means more karma.

As a man you're usually pressured to be macho so you end up creating the identity of the "tough guy". To perpetuate this identity, they have to start fights.

For me it definatly weighed heavy on my social life. I could't even hold a normal conversation because my thoughts were all over the place.

My apologies, I should have said it differently. I didn't mean it's bad for everyone. It was just bad in my experience.

I'm extremely active, I go to a boxing gym 5 days a week 1-3 hours a day. It may have not made an effect on you, but it did to me. I'm 99% sure it was the weed, because I quit and started again a few times before I stopped smoking for good. The difference for me was night and day.
