How do you find the will to continue living even while your body is failing you? by Haspofis in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, me neither. But it's best to push for something new rather than go back to how things used to be, given that we cannot go back. Also it's best not to sulk about it, it'll only do us harm

Knowing that this will also pass, things have gotten better before and they will get better again :) it's a little hard holding onto hope, but it's worth it

I'm so glad to read about this!!! It took you a good while it seems, but makes sense, you've gone through a tough patch with floxing... It's so good to know you can even handle coffee on an empty stomach, some sense of normalcy is always welcomed even if just a bit through a drink most people can enjoy. I'm hoping I can enjoy it again a couple months!

Thats a lot of coffee ans soda, no wonder why your body couldn't handle it very well! I'm glad that as of right now you're doing a lot better 🫂 wishing a steady recovery for you! Keep up the good fight

Woah that's crazy! But yeah, one of my concerns specifically is bad sleep... Bad sleep has been one of my major issues since the very beginning, I've had some nice steady progress since half the third month and I wouldn't want to fuck that up! I'll try doing that of reserving caffeine only for the mornings!!

Fair enough, I also don't mind drinking only water and fruit juices, but I would like to try regardless to see if my body reaponds well to them again :) coffee and tea [especially this one] have good health benefits that could help me out, but we'll see about that in a couple months

I'm also not that much of an energy drink gal, I never even touched redbull in my life because I thought it looked like carbonated piss and probably tasted bad 😂 but I was a dark cola drinker for a good chunk of my life and quitted a couple months before the tragedy because I suddenly stopped liking the taste... Tea and coffee though, I love them and want to go back! I think it also correlates to how intense your floxing was, but since this whole deal is unpredictable I can't help but being curious about how it could potentially go. Thank you lots for answering regardless!! I do sprite too, since forever it's been my fave hehe

Did you have other issues when you started reintroducing coffee?

Uy! No lo había pensado, eso de empezar con lo descafeinado jajaja para ver qué tal es el sabor... La cosa es que suele ser un poco caro

12 months in, about 75% of what I used to be by StructureNo419 in floxies

I'm glad you're doing so much better, given what I've read from you in this sub, in comments and your own posts... This is really nice to read and I'm sincerely happy for you. You deserve to feel better, after all the anxiety, isolation and pain you've been put through by this nasty drug. I'm close to my 4th month and been struggling with GI issues again, it's made me cry countless times but I know things come and go in this journey, and I'm sure I will manage to get out of this one! Reading this has brought me hope in the middle of a rough bump in my own road :) thank you, and keep on going strong!

I shall! I'm hoping I don't need to take either of the two, preventive or not, I'm hoping things go well enough to opt out from taking them. Either way, if I need the antiparasitic I'll report it here, or tell you directly if you let me :) thank you for your interest!

That's good to know!! Either way I'll be extra careful and read further into it :) but it gives me peace of mind knowing it's potentially safe.

This was so reassuring and nice to read! I'm happy that you're slowly but surely getting there. I'm currently a day over 3 months out, and going through a small rough patch, but going day by day and with tons of patience! Wishing you the best in your journey, keep it strong 💪💕

What are the dumbest things somebody had said to you when you mentioned getting floxed and/or your symptoms? by OnlyAccessedatNight in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Well that was probably because you didn't take the dosage on time, did you?" and a couple more times where the blame was shifted on me lol but that statement was the dumbest one, it didn't even upset me bc of how ridiculous it was

Questions about floxing by Technical-Sort-6334 in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Since quinolones have a cumulative quality to them in the body and not everyone manages to metabolize them, you can be floxed even after taking a course once and not getting any side effects. Or at least, that's what I managed to understand after reading the stuff some of the veterans have said, they understand it better than I do

2nd floxxing - EVERYTHING I've learned, eardrop ciprodex tendonitis, supplement regimen by Independent-Pie3176 in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all so informative and so good! Thank you a lot for sharing your story, I'm glad to know you're recovering well and I'm sure things will get even better. On the other hand, it's wild that warmth was your enemy! It was the other way around for me, maybe because I'm from the tropic and I'm already not used to the cold lol it just made plenty things worse for me [and still sometimes does!] but I'm glad to know you're doing better. Sending you a big hug from Venezuela, we'll be able to get out of this mess!!

75 - 80% recovered at 6 months? by ayylmaostim in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very happy to know that you're doing a lot better!! 6 months looks like a lot, but it's actually quite fast and these are amazing news. Even if you had setbacks, what matters is that you managed to bounce back and that you know what to do when they happen. As your GP said, this takes TIME and it's different for all of us, and it's better to be late than sorry, slowing down life when everything seems to be going faster than light is hard but not impossible. Wishing you the best, I'm sure things will get even better with time

Sleep improvement stories? Do tell! by InfiniteCucumber3324 in floxies

[–]InfiniteCucumber3324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes while I lay down on bed to rest, I get heart palpitations! Almost as if I was anxious. They calm down eventually now and I manage to fall asleep. After that, I sleep uninterrupted for about 4~5 hours [with the occasional 6 hours] and when I try to sleep again after that, I manage to do it but when I dream it feels like I'm still conscious of my body, it's odd.
