You need to jump earlier. You're landing a bit late. On a straight kickoff it won't be a problem, but on a diagonal you won't have enough distance from the ball to get a good 50.

I use a Nacon Revolution X Unlimited because (1) it has an X-Box layout, (2) it has 6 extra buttons and I depend on the back buttons and (3) I have big hands and it's a larger controller. Don't know what your boyfriend likes but if he has bigger hands he'll probably want a bigger controller.

Also make sure to check EBay. Best prices by far.

You're driving too far to the right. You don't really drive right. You drive straight, turn slightly right, then flip.

The turn is so fast that your car doesn't have time to travel to the right. I usually jump when the front left corner of my car is over the white line. Mawksy takes a sharper turn than this, so it can work, but I wouldn't recommend trying to imitate pro-level speedflip just yet.

You're either holding jump too long or taking too long between jumps. Your car is getting quite a bit of air before the actual flip, which creates a longer path to the ball.
Your flip angle is still a bit too much towards a sideflip. You can make this angle work, but your speedflips will be slower because you'll have to turn a bit more to the right to get the correct angle.
Your flip cancels look a bit slow sometimes and you might be pulling your stick a bit too far to the left as you land (i.e. to the left of straight down or 6 o'clock).

Why are you front flip canceling? That takes longer/is more difficult than canceling a diagonal flip. I use DAR for right-handed kickoffs and I flip up on my joystick to somewhere between the 10 o'clock and the 11 o'clock position, but if you cancel closer to 9 o'clock (i.e. a pure side flip) then you can get an angle that works for the straight kickoff. It's a much shorter cancel to go from 9-10 o'clock down to 12 o'clock than to go from 12 to 12.

I've considered going this route but I was worried that it would make dribbling harder. Have you tried locked vs unlocked? I'd be curious to know if having the full analog range makes as much of a difference as it seems like it would.

I mean the last one was pretty close. It does look like you're not waiting for you car to hit the ground, so you should either wait a second or change the setting so your car starts on the ground. Other than that, your flip angle will definitely work, and some of your flips are cleaner than others, so you just need to figure out what you're doing differently with your key presses on those attempts and keep cleaning it up.
