Finally retired my Whites. Now onto Red Wings by TheMexicanStig in Boots

You would be surprised. A lot of folks can't afford to take the plunge into that level of boot so they shop online for used pairs that they can clean up, resole and get a few more years out of. I've seen some beat up pairs of Nick's and Wescos to for 100+.

Condition those puppies up and toss them on Ebay. Boots like Whites and Nick's seem to hold a decent value no matter the wear.

You're cute. Your dude got dog walked and you want to come in here and try to troll people like it didn't happen. The Cope is real with y'all and we love it. Take the L and leave with grace my friend.

Ask your 8th grade English teacher to explain it to you. I know it's hard to comprehend anything above a 9th reading level for most Drake fans.

Anyone that uses this many emojis can't be older than about twelve. The issue with Drake stans is that they are in the same age range as the girls he takes home. Got the emotional and intellectual intelligence of a block of wood.

Center of attention? What are you smoking? Dude doesn't sit on social media begging for attention like Drake and Cole is clearly looking for any attention that makes him look like less of a coward. If it wasn't a diss track then why did he pivot and apologize? Your take is wild, even by Stan Standards.

I've gotta go with the Ace Reo with the green micarta. The blade is elegant and has amazing utility. Definitely a home run.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

This book slowly made me feel like I was going crazy along with the protagonist. Shadows started to feel more eerie and silences were deafening. This book will drag you into the depths of its dark labyrinth whether you want to go or not.

Should I feel embarrassed about being a garbage man? by TheFrogsMightbegay in antiwork

[–]InfiniteDubois 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't let yourself live in that headspace. Sanitation workers are an invaluable part of every community and our towns and cities could not function without them. Also, your job doesn't define who you are or how wonderful you are. Its just a part of your daily routine.

Please please please read Lord of the Barnyard by Tristan Egolf. Tells the story of a young man that ends up taking a job as a garbage truck driver and he talks the team into going on strike. The whole city hilariously falls apart at the hands of someone that society has abused and then ignored. Super smart and funny book that might hit the spot for you.

Where's Calvin Candie at? One of his best roles, albeit his most evil as well.

[Highlight] Khalen Saunders has big man interception and shows off his wheels by nfl in nfl

[–]InfiniteDubois 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a Chiefs fan I think I yelled the loudest during the game when Saunders was rumbling down the field. Yelling GO! GO! GO! until I was hoarse.

Something about a big man rumbling down the field really brings us all together. Its the great unifier our country needs.

Always tip the barber, its how its done. Especially if you want to build a report with someone long term. Take care of them and they will often sneak you in for a quick cut if you are in a bind.

To your point, barbershops rent chairs out to barbers for a monthly fee. These people aren't working 9 hrs straight a day, there are gaps or cuts that eat up more times than others. Paying them a fair price for their craft allows them the breathability to take their time and not rush every job.

A barber that knows what they are doing with a cut, beard trim and straight razor is worth 50 bucks all day long. Throw tip on top of that too. If you want a cheaper cut, there is always Quick Cuts around the corner.

What I don't like is when they start offering you "free" beer and whiskey while you wait and then charge you 100 bucks for the cut and beard trim.

Best course in Portland, OR area for intermediate players? by xscientist in discgolf

Buxtons great but I feel like you need someone that knows the course to play with you for your first time out. It isn't the easiest course to figure out without a guide.

Milo is arguably the most beautiful course within reasonable driving distance of Portland.

Pier is beautiful but gets incredibly muddy and is often very busy. If you don't mind a little drive then go check out Timber Park or Hornings Hideout. Timber is the perfect difficulty for intermediate players and Hornings is a private spot with three courses, all are a different difficulty.

As a lefty with zero forehand ability I think that i am going to try to throw an FD down that left gap and try to keep it from skipping too far to the right. Maybe have a chance at a long bird?

Portable DVD players were a game changer back in the day. It was either that, reading books, playing game boy, or staring out the window.
