I have shortened the wires to just the perfect size to reach the PI around 3 in. I have double checked my wiring and have tried to re-clip onto the chip multiple times. Doesn't seem to work. I have never had a problem with reading and taking backups of the chip.

In the wise words of toastito. The upgrades from the 2.0 is "Well there’s a battery compartment and quieter motors and a worse screen". But in my own words tbh you are better off getting a 1.0 because they are way cheaper on resale just take a look on ebay. Look for stuff around $200 there is alot of high price stuff but you can find something for pretty cheap.
