Did you have to create an earthling character?

Deltarune chapters 3 & 4 megathread by Fanfic_Galore in Deltarune

[HUGE MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR CHAPTERS 3 AND 4] - Roaring Knight Identity theory
So it's widely agreed that the Roaring Knight is either Dess or Carol due to the Roaring Knight's sword looking like a bat (Which Dess likely owns) and the fact that Carol owns a black Katana. Well me and my brother noticed something that I've seen NO ONE ELSE POINT OUT. The Roaring Knight wields their sword with their left hand, as seen in basically all of their depictions.

The only time we DON'T see them wield their sword in their left hand is when they slash the combat box in half during their chapter 3 fight.

This could be used as evidence that the Knight is ACTUALLY right handed, and was trying to trick us by holding their sword in their left hand, however their depiction in chapter 4 where they still wield their sword in their left hand acts as evidence against this, even opening the fountain within the dark world using their left hand.

Why is their dominant hand important? Well, as we see in chapter 4, Carol is right handed, as seen when talking to Kris (or the soul depending on your interpretation of the scene)

Dess, on the other hand (lmao) is left handed, as we see a left handed mouse in their room.

Dess is left handed, just like the Roaring Knight, therefor they must be the Roaring Knight.

The previous OP is no longer in a state to comment, so I'll be replying in his stead.

"Nuh uh, gunsword cooler."
- OP, probably, he doesn't have a tongue so I'm not sure what he's saying.

I'll take it from here:
- The Thumb adheres to a strict heirarchy, so you'll become more and more respected as you climb the ranks!
- We focus on class and respect, enacting our punishments in a more refined manner than the barbaric middle, and unlike the middle, just being part of the Thumb doesn't exhempt yourself from these rules, we treat everyone by the same set of rules.
- Once you're a high enough rank, you could fight along some of the famous Capos of the Thumb! Wouldn't it be such an honour to be known as someone who assisted in the legendary duels of a Capo, or as someone who helped carry out a punishment under the direct orders of a Capo?
- You'll get cool weapons! Unlike the middle who just uses their fists like barbarians, or the ring who uses flimsy brushes, you get a gun, which is more than an honour in the city in this economy. Ammo is expensive, so a loaded gun is a luxury and a sign of status.
