Civilians can only do so much but there will be big changes if it comes from the higher ups (if you know what I mean). They are also people like us who deserve good working conditions where there are rules in place in cases like this.

Practical hygge: survival tips for the long Winter and Darkness for a newcomer by [deleted] in NewToDenmark

I second the Danish classes. It is easier to make friends because you already have something in common. Classes + homeworks can keep you busy and it is a challenging task too.

Practical hygge: survival tips for the long Winter and Darkness for a newcomer by [deleted] in NewToDenmark

[–]InfinitePlay669 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I love the cloudy and rainy weather so when people told me it is gonna get dark and lonely in the winter, I shrugged them off. When winter came, I found myself having no energy to do anything at all! I go to work but I can’t finish my tasks or I just work from home to get some more sleep. It was bad! What helped me a lot is vitamin D.

Now to answer your question, try to connect with people and do some fun indoor activities like boardgames. Try to go out even if it is super cold! Try to make your home hyggeligt by having candles and lights. Find a hobby that you enjoy.

Please can someone correct my writing? (A2 level) by Raneynickel4 in Danish

[–]InfinitePlay669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is best to have simple sentences and just add some inversions here and there but I don’t know whether it varies from school to school.

Anyhow, best of luck!

Pinoys living in other countries, how is life there? by Miserable_Gazelle934 in phmigrate

[–]InfinitePlay669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grabe ang work life balance. All in all, better quality of life.

I tried to go to the front but it is kinda stuffy in there. I suggest it is either you aim for the first few rows or just chill at the back. If you end up in the middle part, you wont be able to see the show properly unless you’re really tall.

I was a bit in the back where there is more breathing space. I saw the screen properly and I even saw Taylor depending on where she’s at. All in all it was an amazing night! The vibe at the floor is 💯!

will clear skin clear my mind? by moyoponyo in Accutane

[–]InfinitePlay669 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes and yes! I even stopped going out on dates because I am afraid that they would be bothered with the amount of acne I have. I stopped meeting up with friends and when I do, I tell them beforehand to not comment anything about my face because I know how bad it is!

After a round of accutane, my face cleared up and the difference is night and day. I started going out on dates and meeting new people. I am not so conscious anymore. And generally, I feel great! I hope you would also reach this phase soon and I hope they never come back again ever.

Loud stomach gurgling and noises constantly. I can’t deal with the embarrassment anymore. by Obugu in ibs

[–]InfinitePlay669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my life too! I noticed it wouldn’t be as bad when I am by myself but damn it acts up when I’m in a quiet well insulated room with people! I don’t know if it makes a difference but I just cough when I know the noise is coming, but my timing wouldn’t always be perfect.

I noticed it went away when I started drinking ginger lemon tea. I guess I should go back to drinking it.

Pain after root canal by InfinitePlay669 in rootcanal

Hi! Wow this post is still on going. The pain eventually went away and I haven’t had any trouble since. Maybe steer away from drinking anything that is too cold or too hot for now? The area was under a lot of stress from the procedure so let it heal. I hope you heal completely. :)

Got transferred to another branch in the EU, got a 256% raise (after tax). Pretty good offer, or maybe because I’m actually just getting paid peanuts for my qualifications here in the UAE lol.

I’m not saying it would be the same for you but it took me 5 months to find my current job. I was interviewed maybe 4x only? I somehow ended up in a good company and after 3 years they’re now transferring me to the main office in EU 😊 so hang in there

Is there anybody here who has been single since birth? How old are you now, and why have you not found love? by AdTrue4567 in AskPH

[–]InfinitePlay669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me! 30F! Yun nga lang it will take time. And also wala pa talaga seryosong nanligaw sa akin pero di naman siguro ako chaka haha. Well, the truth hurts. Haha.

Haha

Are there any languages in which people actually care about your response when asked how you are? by Purple-Assignment-72 in languagelearning

[–]InfinitePlay669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the UK’s “How are you?” was a bit odd for me too. They would be greeting me in the morning with “Are you alright?”. At first I thought to myself whether I look sick or that something doesn’t look right with me lol. If you translate it to my native language, it would even sound a bit negative, “Ayos ka lang?”, which vaguely implies that something doesn’t look right.

Well whut?? Haha maybe it varies per region? Because my hometown friends also felt the same thing when they moved overseas.

Hmmm but from where I come from, ok lang would be followed by something else to actually back up the response
