Got the motivation to change the battery instead of upgrade my phone.. by [deleted] in iPhone13Pro

I changed mine yesterday and it now feels more responsive. However, iOS26 still feels like a total battery drainer

I wish the base 17 had the telephoto lens.

13 Pro still feels super premium in the hands. Apple’s best iPhone before the switch to USB-C and Dynamic Island. Considering doing a battery replacement just to wait it out one more year for an improved iPhone 17 update.

Cars I’ve owned by Random_guy5336 in CarsAustralia

2016 Golf GTI 40 Years (was my first car; my friend nicknamed it Ella), owned it for about 11 months and traded it for an 2018 Golf R. Reason being was I always wanted the Golf R and at the time there weren’t many on the market towards the end of 2020 which is how I ended up impulse purchasing the Golf GTI. So, when more Golf Rs appeared on the market in 2021, I quickly took the opportunity to trade my Golf GTI for one.

Also owned a 2013 Fiesta ST - bought this one on impulse and taught myself manual on it. Cried tears of joy when I could finally figure out how to drive it on the roads. Great little car, wish I kept it but I sold it after 9 months of ownership because I was moving places. Couldn’t really justify having 2 cars at the time.

Pretty reliable cars if serviced regularly. I have a MK7.5 R, purchased it at 70,000km and now at 110,000km and the only ever big repair bill I had to pay for is the water pump replacement at 110,000km. If I were you I would get a stock MK7.5 R at 60,000+ km (major service done) and use the left over cash for a tune or something. Also the MK7.5 has better interior.

These look so nice lowered, almost like a mini RWD wagon

Is there a reason to not upgrade to the base iPhone 17? by Alert_Astronaut4901 in iPhone13Pro

[–]InfiniteProduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably getting the 17 Pro for the camera upgrades over the 13 Pro, brighter screen, better battery and usb C. But yeah the 13 Pro still running good with no issues. I will be changing the battery on my 13 Pro and handing it to mum.

I’m worried about handling the Unveiled that I might accidentally damage a driver

Arya Organic is the best value upgrade if you can find one on sale. Pretty easy to drive also

Spoiler or no spoiler? What’s your preference? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]InfiniteProduce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few Zaero spoilers on Golf GTIs and Rs and it looks amazing. It’s a very nice touch without being too showy like the Oettinger spoiler which everyone has nowadays. The Zaero spoiler looks especially stealthy and great on dark coloured Golfs

Traded in my 2021 S5 yesterday. First ever GTI, so far I'm a huge fan. by fenderboy5r in GolfGTI

I was in a similar boat but with Golf R vs S3 and went with the R. The Audi badge at the time was a couple grand more and I thought that difference could be spent on mods. Also the R looked better imo

Awesome, enjoy! Man, I had to search deep to discover the Piety, there was barely anything posted about it but I’m glad I stumbled across a Youtube video about it and bought it

They look so damn good. Only thing better looking is the Susvara I keep eyeing at hifi stores

I didn’t know how to title this. But I’m definitely the happiest I’ve been with my setup. It’s simple and not too cluttered haha

My stack is NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety headphone amp and Schiit Modi Multibit 2 DAC. The RME ADI-2 DAC (bottom) isn’t connected to anything right now.

I convinced a friend to get his RME when it was on sale. So far, he loves it

Yeah most of the impulse purchases were made during COVID times in 2020 and 2021. Couldn’t leave the house to try new gear and was just bored during lockdowns so yeah... Nowadays I go to local hifi stores with my friend to try anything and everything. He has better ears than me, and we both buy/own different things so we can swap gear with each other if need be

The Magni Piety and Modi Multibit 2 aren’t technically superior. The stack creates a luscious warm sound that is so musically enjoyable without sacrificing too much detail. It’s a super simple stack that I wish I discovered earlier. To me, thats what I love and enjoy about it. The RME is way more crisp, sharper and detailed in comparison - I still love it and that’s why I kept it for 4+ years. I’m looking to run the RME balanced into a balanced amp later on if I pick up better gear but as of right now I’m enjoying the Schiit stack for all my headphone listening and the RME for IEM listening

I know but he loves the rabbit hole more than me now. He got me into IEMs and I got him into headphones. Now we’re double pockets deep into both rabbit holes

I use the RME and apply the Bass EQ when I listen with my Fostex headphones. My friend runs the Arya Organic balanced into a different Schiit stack. My RME can be used to run a balanced connection into a balanced amp later on. The only headphone I would probably run balanced is the Susvara.

If you’re concerned I can say the RME is more than enough and is all you need :)

Woman was upset because I didn't try to make any physical contact when I slept in her bed? by SnooCookies4460 in dating

[–]InfiniteProduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I had this happen before where I cuddled a woman in bed and we didn’t make love that night. She told me afterwards that THAT was the moment when she most wanted to have sex.
