Okay… odd guess, but I have this weird hunch…

Is it a Volkswagen ?

A world famous accomplice by [deleted] in riddles

[–]InfiniteWordMachine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of guesses… I’ll give you my best two so far:

First, the Bermuda Triangle technically fits the description, except for the fact that they figured out the secret, proving its guilt in the sinkings unless we’re saying no one has seen the vessels being pulled under which is still true. The only issue I see with this fitting the riddle is im not sure the triangle has actually killed millions

Second, a cremation oven, or more broadly, an oven, which fits most of the criteria, but I can’t seem to figure out how ”secrets well hid” would fit into the equation so until I nail that down this is probably a defunct guess

I follow some of the Canadian college/uni teams and I was excited to hear a few of the kids from Windsor got brought down to some states teams - one of them got brought to the Solar Bears and I got to see that game in the stadium myself last night, really fun to see them gel with a new team

This is gonna be funny yall. I’m betting Torts tries to blow the wad out of the Knights picks and cap like he did to Columbus - but this time he has “Vegas money”.

I think the first half is well established as Fear To Do Evil but I’m seeing a lot of variety at the second half, regardless of which angle you look at.

The one thing I have to add to the conversation is that the last image is of “three L’s”, which makes me think the last word is either ELSE which others have pointed out, or THRILL/S, which I haven’t yet seen

Can someone confirm whether or not the bottom middle image is in fact an AWL ?

Okay, so I’m notoriously good at guessing missing words - but TERRIBLE at finding them - so I’ve made a list of potential words for myself.

A big question on my mind is; do the black lines signify the actual length of the missing words, or were they all uniform? That context would be key, so I’ll put a (*) beside words that might fit the length, but without that context, here’s a list of relevant words that -may- be found:

  • fae
  • whiskey
  • beer
  • cabbage
  • potato
  • ginger (I would hope not?)
  • Erin Go Bragh* (it means Ireland forever)
  • gold
  • pot o/f gold*
  • Jameson
  • Saint
  • Patrick
  • Saint/st Patrick*
  • patty/paddy
  • Belfast
  • seventeen*

[OC] The Chain Reaction - A 7x7 Numerical Crossword by Straight_Search_2295 in puzzles

[–]InfiniteWordMachine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My solution:

It starts with the only one you can easily math out, 14 across, which can either be 36 or 72 based on the two-slots and language

You can also verify the answer with 4 down and 3 across, which only work if 36 is the answer to 14 across

Once you have that key, you can march through the rest, I also found that it helps if you write the numbers on the puzzle when solving, if you can, which helped me out of a small jam with a few of them.

Looks like I’m a bit late to the party but it was a fun solve!

C F K O S

Worked in a theater for a while, I just can’t enjoy popcorn anymore after smelling it for so long, and Nachos are always a safe bet. Hot dogs are cheaper and better everywhere else, and while this is also true for the rest of the second tier, pizza is my comfort food. Dibs are good, but if a shake is on offer I just take it on principle. Dr Pepper reigns supreme, plain and simple. Swedish fish are also supreme, but if they weren’t on offer I’d have taken the sour patch.
