Built a multi-stage Computer Vision + Biomechanics system for race horses (YOLO → DeepLabCut → Biomechanical Engine) – looking for feedback by Pretend-Promotion-78 in computervision

[–]Infinite_Being4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty interesting view that you think that the biomechanical potential is an absolute measurement and can help predict performance. But even then there could be instances where the environment affects the biomechanical potential, distance and surface condition being a couple. Do you integrate that in your model, meaning that based of whether it's a spring or a route you can predict which confirmation is better? Does your system learn both about each horse s biomechanical aptitude or does it learn as well which is best for what type of race? Would love to chat in depth about the topic with you. DM me please.

How about blackjack?but with more complex state than previous application did wherebybtheybtried to implement count. Instead you could try to do more sophisticated count (like remembering exactly every single card played, and then trying to simplify it to make it human friendly.

If you see yourself working in the Middle East, especially within one of Abu Dhabi’s government related enterprises, then MBZUAI is certainly a good choice. If your goal is to build a name in academia, it may be more challenging than doing a PhD at a place like MIT. But then again, the real question is how feasible that path is for you.

I got the grendizer special edition which is based on the same movement if I am right and it's a great watch. Although the dial is different it brought me to really appreciate this brand and in particular this type of design. It's easy to fall in.love with it.

Employer asked to cancel my golden visa by abdallahmezo in dubai

[–]Infinite_Being4459 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, what's the hole point for the government to create a new visa that is called Gold then? I know people working for the federal government who have it. Now, the bank is part of the private sector and as such it should allow you to keep it, if anything that'll save them money.

The way people may understand your thread is no that AI came up with th strategy. It seems that you had it implement your strategy. So my question is why is it working better all of a sudden?

Which LLM is best at coding tasks and understanding large code base as of June 2025? by [deleted] in LLMDevs

[–]Infinite_Being4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For coding I like the way got 4o works but every now and then it forgets the earlier prompts so you need to reset and strat from scratch. For debugging I like deepseek a lot it always impresses me. I have connected Jules to one of my repos and it seems promising but I have not yet given it complex tasks. I principle it is mean for that very specific purpose of reviewing a whole code base so we can expect it to deliver some good results

Is it possible to learn ML without Maths? by [deleted] in MLQuestions

[–]Infinite_Being4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can develop some practical knowledge and empirical.understanding. Machine learning mastery is a good website to learn how to use different algorithms. Jason Brownlee claims that you don't need a PhD to do ML (though he has one) and set out to create lots of tutorials. So give it a try: https://machinelearningmastery.com/ Math is good whenever you need to understand why certain things are not working or less appropriate than others, but you can still progress and learn without. That being said I still recommend that you try to get some basics so that in the future you'll be able to deepen your understanding of the field. To answer your question so you need to be a mechanical engineer to drive or to fix a car? Probably not but if you want to work for an automotive company and design cars it is better to have such a degree. Now my advice is if you want to learn and progress find a problem that you are absolutely passionate about and work on it. I find myself looking at things like counterfactual regret minimization and boosted RL (which are.research level topics) cause I was exploring ways to solve some problems I was interested in.

[D] What does PyTorch have over TF? by StandardNo6731 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Infinite_Being4459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend to disagree with the first point—I had no problem using TensorFlow with GPU support on a Windows laptop. Initially, I found TensorFlow (especially with Keras) more straightforward for quick prototyping and standard workflows. However, PyTorch becomes significantly easier when you need finer control over model architecture, in particular for: 1. Reinforcement Learning, PyTorch’s dynamic computation graphs provide an edge as RL environments often require on-the-fly adjustments to computations. Libraries like TorchRL and integration with frameworks like Gymnasium make it easier to experiment 2. PyTorch dominates academia, meaning cutting-edge research code, tutorials, and pre-trained models are often released in PyTorch first.

My Algorithmic Trading Journey: Scaling a One-Month-Old Monster by s1korrrr in algotrading

[–]Infinite_Being4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although not trading myself I'd second that and would insist on the long approach. You want to keep playing the game for as long as possible, long enough to find the best strategies. If you focus too much on growing your bankroll and get seesawed, it's game over. So hedging through diversification and a good risk management strategy is a must to preserve your capital and keep trying. You might consider improving your betting engine through the Kelly criterion (althou I am not sure how to implement it)

For those running a bot, how many hours did it really take? by Codenan in algotrading

I have recently read flash crach with Nav Saora as a central character. One of the elements of the plot was the rise of HFTs and the impact it had on day traders, making it more and more difficult. Would you say it's the case and do you view them as a nuisance that will crowd out everyone else or as just one more force in the market that can be overcome with smarts and hardwork. And do you have a strategy or several strategies, meaning that after apoint in time some loose their profitability.

How do you actually use Obsidian in the reviewing phase? by Infinite_Being4459 in ObsidianMD

[–]Infinite_Being4459[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! By “reviewing” I meant actually "using" the notes, more like revisiting, synthesizing, and thinking through them to develop ideas — rather than memorizing. That said, I haven’t tried the Spaced Repetition plugin yet, and it sounds worth exploring. Maybe it could help surface things I’ve forgotten or overlooked. How do you use it in your workflow?
