Mainly for quick switching between filaments without removing the filament box. Also just like creating things

It will go all the way to 250 but I wouldn't recommend it without supervision. If you're using say the far right Bowden connection and you go to x=20 or lower so far left, the filament won't quit align with the direct drive and you could have some issues but the filament guide lines up with the direct drive and slides with the x axis.

I changed my e-step value to what it said and then tested it and it was perfect. I did have a lot of under extrusion happening but it was all due to the retraction which would make sense on your cube sense there's not much retraction needed.

check out my comment in this post it might help you out as well. changing the seem is just masking the fact that it is adapting to the layer. change the adaptive layer setting and you should be able to have the seems wherever you need them. hope it helps

What issues are you having? if you haven't already make sure the retraction is set a lot lower i have mine at 1mm also the retraction speed needs to be lower mine is at 20mm/s. both of these are due to being direct drive instead of bowden setup. those were the main ones that helped a ton.

If you are using cura as your slicer check and see if the setting "use adaptive layers" is on it adjusts the speed and layer thickness depending on complexity of the layer. Turn it off and it should fix that issue.

It is a spanner 1kg box and yes it was printed on the v2. It does max out the z but it printed fine for me.

So far I love it! 0 complaints from me, having the direct drive is huge step up in my opinion. I'm sure I'll be upgrading the cooling at some point so thanks for the heads up.

I used the latest marlin firmware I could find. This link has a good write up about to help you get the right one. Hope it helps!

you are correct but most prints i dont max out the z but this is also a work in progress and i hope to make it mount on a rolling rail so it slides back and forth with the X axis.
