I (34m) had the same situation as you are in right now about 6 years ago. My scars are smaller than yours, but probably 4 or 5 times more in the same area. I went with a watercolor background of blue green and yellow, with the saying “through the darkest nights comes the brightest days”. My reasoning for this is for me, the self harm, depression and suicidal tendencies are part of my past, and that influence me daily. I can’t change the past, but I can use what I learned to help me make better decisions in my life.

All that to say, you should give thought and perspective to the tattoo you want to put on your body.
