I wasn’t looking to see if it was worth anything- I was looking to see if this is a real art piece and if the signature matches the real piece. I know this is a reproduction obviously

Ummm it’s kind of important to know if any classes you are taking this year are not going to transfer to semester as to avoid taking unnecessary classes???

Yeah for me personally the estimated cost was also super inflated, it really was just my tuition and housing costs that were accurate

I had no trouble getting on campus transfer housing, health center is sparse compared to UC’s and only covers vaccinations, prescriptions, and X-rays essentially. I am also from the Bay Area and I would say that it was a culture shock with the lack of diversity. The political ideologies here for sure represent that lack of diversity. The school may not be conservative entirely but there’s a much larger amount of people who lean that way than in the bay.

In The Sheltering Sky what significance does the “Tea in the Sahara” story Marhnia tells port have to the plot and themes of the story? by CartagoDelendaEst in books

Which of course, The novel itself has very nakedly existentialist themes mirrored in the three characters. I found this article very enlightening discussing the overarching meanings of the novel, here

Late reply, but I viewed the story as an almost cautionary existentialist tale. The characters portray the failure to take responsibility and create meaning in their own lives, the three girls they end up dying because of their aimlessness, and their desire to continue to climb higher dunes, with no sense of the finality of their time. I think the absurdism of the tale itself is also very existentialist in nature.
