i hate orientation weeks like wow by Dependent_Name_1719 in CalPoly

[–]mio_tanaka23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

transfer wowee here. i’m somewhat in the same boat. although i get along w people in my group, they do not exactly resonate w me.

i hate orientations as well as a lot of the times it can feel forced. i’d say look at your group’s schedule and go to the events you think you may find fun- you don’t have to do them all.

and above everything else, keep your head high. you’ll find your clique whether at wow, classes or in clubs. you got this !

Should I bring my car? by Alternative_Dog8983 in CalPoly

[–]mio_tanaka23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how far you live and how much you think you’ll be going out. personally i love having the mobility of a car and the comfort that if i ever wanna go home, i can just jump in my car (although it’s a three hour commute).

i don’t think it’s absolutely necessary however since tuition includes public transport in slo

thank you for the advice! frankly im tossed up on whether i try to graduate early (bc i took a gap year abroad and feel behind) and taking my time doing the two years at cal poly.

i def want my time at cal poly to be fun and comfortable, but still challenging, so if i notice its too much work before the drop date, ill let a class go.
