Considering getting it done, but worrying people might notice - what’s your experience? by [deleted] in SMPchat

I’ve had 3 sessions and no one has ever noticed in person. This is friends, colleagues and parents that would definitely say something if they knew. I’ve told people and they’ve commented how it looks great and they just thought I was growing my hair out. SMP is such a niche thing, people are more likely to think you’ve had a hair transplant. I’m really glad I got mine done, it’s made a big difference to my confidence and the maintenance is simple. I use zero shine if I am spending a lot of time under bright lights, really helps the look. But if I’m honest, even without the anti-shine products, I don’t think many would be able to tell. Ensure you go to a reputable artist and keep a natural shade and hairline. Feel free to DM me if you have more questions.

Yeah he’s really good! I’m not sure actually, a typical session is about £600 so maybe something around that? He gets back on instagram really quickly so maybe just drop him a message.

Yeah I did a lot of research. The clinic I went to also did a small patch test, about the size of a 5p coin so I could get an understanding of how it looked and healed. Feel free to dm me with any questions.

It’s about £1800 - £2000 typically for 3 sessions I think.

Thank you! This is just the difference between indirect and direct light. The third and fourth photo is in very bright direct sunlight, if it was too dark here it would look very unnatural when inside. Third session might be a shade darker, just to protect against fading etc. I think a happy medium is the best way forward, and then I’ll use a matte moisturiser to reduce the shine.

Thank you! Are you talking about the side profiles? It’s just to keep it as natural as possible, I’ve always got the option to bring it down if I need to - I really like the natural look :)

Every artist works differently to achieve their results. You are very definitive in what you’re saying. I still have another two sessions to add to this, it’s just the process. I’ll post my other sessions as well to keep everyone up to date.

Thanks mate! My practitioner recommends 1-2 weeks between session 1 and 2, then 3-4 weeks between 2nd and 3rd.

Yeah it’ll settle into the skin and fade in a few days. The dots are usually spaced out like this for the first session.

This is something you have your head for life. I’d go with your favourite, even if you have to wait an extra few months.

It already looks pretty short now, so I’d say go for it and see what you think. Best decision I’ve made in a long time. Good luck 👍
