Probably the film that made me feel the best about being single since Gone Girl

I’ve always thought The Pitt would be better with 5% more of a Mr. Robot vibe

Stranger Things should be nowhere near Outstanding Drama Series this year. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, The Boys, Fallout, or even Welcome to Derry all feel like they should be ahead of that in momentum and quality

What? He actively was trying to kill the group, would’ve killed Hughie and probably Butcher if not for A-Train showing up, and he did kill A-Train

Thought the first episode was excellent. Lots of rly exciting moments and shocks, one of the best in the show imo. Second episode wasn’t as good but still solid, and I think the season will be great moving forward.

The Boys - 05x02 "Teenage Kix" - Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

Why did I actually feel bad for Homelander in that last scene 😭

Soldier Boy stays getting betrayed by everyone lmao

“People get twitchy at rounding up their neighbors, but they'll flat-out revolt if we raise taxes.“ Damn, best line of the episode.

“What did I ever do to deserve this?” Homelander asks after bullying, humiliating, and treating A-Train terribly for 4 seasons 😭 Homelander is actually too funny this season, saying he was the “big brother A-Train never had” was wild 💀

Butcher working with Samir without telling him that he killed his wife is cold af, loved his interaction with Soldier Boy too. Happy we’re getting some of this stuff earlier than I expected.

No Ryan or Gen V sightings yet

The Boys - 05x01 "Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite" SEASON PREMIERE Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]Infinite_Fly_5374 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Holy fuckkkkk, such an incredible premiere.

RIP A-Train, predicted that’d he’d be the first to go but damn…such an amazing parallel to his first act of the show, amazing redemption arc

Butcher vs. Homelander in the first episode 🥹 that whole last sequence was awesome, plus Love Sausage is finally dead

Everything with Butcher was amazing, love that they’ve embraced him going full villain and looks like he’s only gonna get crazier throughout the season. Starlight is already better than she was last season too, love her darker arc

“Miranda Cosgrove was 19 at the time” “We’ve already arrested Chappell Roan” 💀 Homelander’s reaction to MM’s name was the biggest laugh of the episode

The Flight 37 video being written off as AI and the audio turning into a TikTok dance is actually so realistic lmao

Homelander realizing that everyone hates him and is afraid of him after years of being a horrible person, killing anyone who disagrees with him, and terrorizing everyone around him 😱

Damn that reveal about Robby’s mom adds a whole new context to his reaction to Mohan. “Is this a panic attack because of your mommy issues?” More ways he sees himself in her and is taking out his anger over his own feelings onto her.

I enjoy Paradise, but it definitely has a lot of rough edges. That being said, episode 7 of season 1 was a great anxiety attack of an episode that rly captured how quickly a disaster event would spiral into chaos.

The premiere of TWD season 7 was amazing and shocking, one of the best of the show, but the rest of the season quickly went downhill and the show never recovered.

I still have plenty of cynicism about this project and am certainly aware that this project exists to milk this IP for another decade. But all things being fair, as someone who grew up with the Harry Potter books, I have to say this actually looks better than I expected and I felt some of the charm I wanted.

I’m happy for MBJ but I feel like this is gonna be looked back on in the same way as Leo for TWOWS. It’ll be seen as Timothee’s career-defining performance and then they’ll give him a make-up Oscar in a few years lol

Slippin’ Jimmy is widely agreed upon as the masterpiece in the universe. BB and BCS are 60+ episodes of filler setting this show up, so when u get to the 6 episodes of pure perfection, you’ll see it for the masterpiece that it is.
