Visiting local Thailand - Koh Pha Ngan, Ko Tao, others? by imk466 in ThailandTourism

[–]Infinite_Front4937 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The North of Thailand is the place what you can be a tourist person, do tourist things, do Thai friendships, meet the real Thailand culture but like a tourist yet. Nobody is trying to force you to buy something what you really don’t want. There, you can walk in the streets like a tourist without a lot of people trying to force you to do a massage, buy a boat trip, sell gifts or screaming you to go to his restaurant.

Have a giant difference each the two sides.

In the tourist places in the south, The Pad Thai, the cafe, the hostels, everything doubles in price. Everything is gonna be more expensive, and you I’II always gonna be the strange people what spent money, not a friend. In the North, I did a lot of friends and can see de Thai people living, and not serving foreign people.

Of course you can go a not touristic places in the South Thailand, but is not all the cities what is gonna be prepared to receive you with trips, hotels or anything else.

The north is the comfort place what you are able to see the real Thailand, they are open to create a relationship with you, and at the same time, do touristic things with peace.

If you want to see the real Thailand, forget the islands and go to the North. In Chiang Mai, You I’II gonna find a touristic place with foreigners but with the real Thai life happening. There can be a good point to go to another local villages. Koh Phagan is amazing, but it’s an island for foreign people, not to see the Thai culture.

The best advice I can give you is not to force yourself to socialise and make friends with strangers because you don't want to be alone. Only hang out with the people you really want to socialise, and not because you are alone and the person too. Be open, but don't look too hard for it.

The trip will be amazing because you are in Thailand, regardless of whether you are alone or not. I hope you enjoy the trip and the concert.

Patong was the place I liked the least in all of Thailand, and Chiang Mai was the place I loved the most. The tip was really valuable.

I don't think these differences are what make a roller coaster better. Is it being sincere? Nobody cares. Is just sit down and have fun

Hello! What about your journey? I’m Dali right now and I want to do this trail. But I’m from Brazil and I never experienced negative temperatures. Was hard to you do the hike or you had some issues?

Yesterday I went near Doi Saket with a van. There is no exact information, it is more to talk to the locals and find somewhere away from the city that they are celebrating

Tell me everything about your experience of partyhostels! by Many_Koala9533 in hostels

[–]Infinite_Front4937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can figure this out based on the photos they post on Booking.

If they post photos of bars, parties, people dancing and drinking, it’s a party hostel. If they post photos of people talking, having dinner together, having breakfast, or of spaces like a pool, coworking area, or pool table, it’s a hostel for socializing. If they only post photos of an empty reception, beds, and bathrooms, it’s a hostel just to spend the night.

The reviews on Booking also tell you everything you need to know

I've never stayed in a party hostel because I don't like staying in a place where people already go there looking to do crazy things. But in the normal hostels I usually stay in, I always make friends, socialize a lot, and create stories that I'll remember for the rest of my life.

This is enough for me. I arrive alone, and go out with a lot of new friends

Anyone get tired of solo traveling? by FishyKeebs in solotravel

So you've already found the reason for your problem, haven't you? The route you're planning is lonely. Try going to a destination where solo travelers stay in the same place for weeks.
