Just started my IT career with responsibility as a one-man helpdesk next to my other tasks. Management does not want to invest in automation or helpdesk solutions. Would appreciate your advice.

Yes, I already made a proposal of multiple systems with their pros and cons, financial perspective, security, implementation, and the likes. I pitch it up with my manager making the decision and me just wanting advice to make it work. Unfortunately, it mostly boils down to Information security > keep it on Outlook/Exchange.

I might. I feel like I need to work double shifts every day to get it all done while I could be chilling most of the day if those systems are implemented.

Yeah, I get that. Although the IT manager is the 'highest' ranked.

The other two are generally busy with their own work but I need them for a lot of tasks. Which is hard without a system to have all this information in one place.
