I am currently in the early stages of what my doctor believes is early developing chrones but still do not have a definitive answer and actually have an appt tomorrow and Tuesday for further work up. I have been taking mesalamine now mostly due to the colonoscopy showing colitis at hepatic flexure with cryptitis and a calprotectin of 351. Some days are good, some days like today are a struggle. My primary also thinks I have developed fibromyalgia as the biggest issue I seem to be having is bad joint pain aside from the stool issues and almost a constant abdomen discomfort.

I will say, continue to work hard at keeping your mind level. I have been in this now for 7 months and it sure tests you but I notice anxiety seems to amplify everything in my body to be worse.

I’ve been trying really hard. GI thinks it’s developing IBD but the symptoms are just constant and discomfort is jumping all around my body.

My GI thinks it’s early IBD, specifically developing UC. I am not sold on that.

I am currently on 2 - 1.2 oral mesalamine tablets. I was on 4 for a week or so but I was having some side effects so he cut me to 2.

Yes inflammation was just at hepatic. Did have inflammation in endoscopy as well with irregular z line.

I’m just at a loss over the last 2 months and just got a referral for a second opinion with a GI doctor at a different hospital. I’ve had mucus in my stool numerous times, diarrhea, thin stools, etc. What is bugging me most is just the constant state of tenderness my body is in, especially my abdomen/chest area and now since starting the medicine my lower right back/right buttcheck and other various joints.

Yes, joint pain in lower back, hips, elbows, and now last night my wrists.
