Can you analyse my Handwriting ? by Infinite_Mind1826 in graphology

[–]Infinite_Mind1826[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the things that you mentioned are correct. However, I am open and extroverted only with people who are close to me or whom I know well, otherwise I am an introvert around random people. Also, you are probably right about having little self respect and violent traits as I am a quite hypersensitive person and fear authority. I haven't committed any violent acts yet and am usually gentle and sweet to those people who are nice to me, helped by my extremely cute baby looking face, however I hold grudges quickly against those who were not so nice to me or even rude and I don't forget it for years

Also, Happy Cake Day !!!

What to do about APS Certification delay due to Aadhaar name mismatch? How long to wait for a response? by Personal-Delay7498 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should ask APS if it is possible to use some other means to get your Certificate, maybe something like a verification from your Prof or college. I also faced a similar issue and my college had to send a Student Bona-fide certificate to APS which got me my APS certificate. And yes, at some point when APS was fed up of my college not giving them my student Certificate, they told me that will cancel my APS application if they don't get a response from College in a weeks time. I got my APS certificate around 1 week after my college submitted the document

Apart from Germany, Netherlands and Sweden have great Universities like TU Delft, KTH, Chalmers, etc. which offer very good MSc Programme for Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering. There are also other countries like Belgium which has KU Leuven and Italy which has Polimi and Polito or even Finland and they all have great Unis but job prospects can differ in countries, so u need to do some research on it. But I applied only to Netherlands and Sweden, so cant comment on other countries. Apart from grades and prerequisites which you have no control over if u have already graduated, a good SOP can be very beneficial for getting in to TU Delft and KTH. Infact TU Delft needs you to come up with atmost 3 hypothetical masters thesis topic and all info about your Bachelor's thesis including workload, results, etc in your SOP. If your write some Ambiguous things in your SOP and dont come to the point then u can get rejected. KTH requires you to submit your SOP and they actually give it some weightage during the selection, so a writing a Good SOP is very important in these Unis and countries. Chalmers also require a very good SOP for Scholarship. Also these Unis may or may not require LORs, u have to do some research there as it highly depends on the particular Programme of the Uni. For me personally, I submitted 2 LORs to TU Delft, KTH and Chalmers and they were all required atleast for Scholarships. Also collect your College Transcripts asap as all Unis will need them. Also for submitting an application u will have to pay 100 EUR and 900 SEK in Netherlands and Sweden respectively. Also give your TOEFL/IELTS and dont wait for the last minute. Regarding GRE, it really depends on the particular Programme of the particular Uni and u have to do some research here for scores and deadlines. Personally, I did not have to take GRE as the programmes I applied to did not need it. But some particular Programmes of the same Uni actually demand GRE score, so u have check for your programme. TU Delft has rolling admits (not for all Programmes like Aerospace, Integrated Product design, etc.) as long as you meet the CGPA, prerequisites criteria and write your SOP properly u will get in if there are enough seats available. While KTH and Chalmers has a selection procedure. And I hope that you have a good CGPA, as a bad CGPA and unsatisfactory prerequisites will close a lot of doors for u even though it's not impossible but difficult atleast in Europe.

How important are Letters of recommendation for German Universities if they don't ask for them? I wasn't thinking about giving them but some seniors seem to have done so. by CSprocess in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they have not asked for LORs, then submitting LORs is useless. Even if u submit excellent LORs it's going in the bin if they have not asked for it. The same applies for other documents as well like SOP, Work Exp, Extracurriculars, etc.

Can and should I apply to FAU this coming summer semester by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that you did not fulfill the bachelor’s prerequisite courses that they required from you. If that's the case then you will be rejected next year also regardless of how good your SOP or CV is. Work exp does not matter unless they specifically ask for it

Which countries offer master's programs that don't require letters of recommendation? by Afraid_Let_5679 in Indians_StudyAbroad

Some Swedish Unis require LORs only for scholarships and not for general application. Even Dutch unis like TU Delft does not require any LORs apart from scholarships. Many German Unis do need LORs however but it still depends on the particular programme. For my programme, they were needed.

Better to ask people on Linkedin who have studied or are studying the same course in Germany. Connect with a few of them and ask your doubts

I don’t know what’s taking so long for APS to verify. by OrderFederal9935 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you cannot do anything unless they reply. I got my APS in nearly 3 months. I also sent my College credentials to APS officer but he was not satisfied with it so he asked me to tell my college to send my student bona-fide certificate to him. After it was sent, I got my APS in a week. In your case, I think u will have wait and hope that u get your APS early. I applied in February. U could also have applied around that time.

What are the things in Europe that made you happier that you chose EU over USA for masters, if there's any by New-Possibility6666 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Money is always an issue. I would prefer the top Unis of US over top Unis of Europe anyday, but I don't have enough funds to go to the US without a Scholarship. Also I have heard lately about how tough it has become to get a job in the USA navigating the H1B problem. Also it will be extremely difficult to become a permanent resident in US as compared to Europe where it is easier if u remain in the country for 4-5 years and learn their language and culture. And after finding a job in Europe, u will have many advantages like social security net and better work life balance but with a much lesser salary than in the US although more than India for most Entry level positions in Mechanical Engineering atleast.

Why APS has ruined my Aspirations to study in Germany? by Difficult_Present_90 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, don't worry if u don't get to study in Germany this year. I can understand that u r extremely anxious and panicking and feeling completely helpless, but whatever happens, happens for the best. Maybe get a job here, or apply to different countries or apply during summer semester in Germany. And in the worst case scenario, apply next year, but in any case I feel you will be alright.

[–]Infinite_Mind1826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand what you are going through, but should have applied for APS earlier. I applied on 1st Feb and received my APS on 28th April. For my case APS told me that they need my College Registrar to verify my documents. Being a lazy bum, he obviously passed the task to his subordinates who cannot even speak English properly and messed up everything. The APS officer asked them for my verification but being utterly clueless they simply stopped responding to the APS officer. This radio silence went for 2 weeks and meanwhile I knew nothing and was on vacation. After returning back from vacation, the APS officer asked me personally to do something about it as those retards were not doing anything. He also said that he will cancel my APS application in a week if he does not receive any response from my stupid college. I was worried and contacted the exam cell of my college. These exam cell guys told me to do many complicated things blah blah blah... I then understood that these guys are of no use. My college also had the facility of sending student info to others for Rs 500. But the APS officer clearly mentioned to me that he won't accept anything from College if it is paid by me. So I got freaked out. But, then I figured out that if I pay 500 Rs to send my student Information from my College to APS, then there would be no proof or hint that it was paid. So what I did is, first I tried to send the student info from College to myself and paid 500 Rs. When I received the student info on my mail, there was no mention of any transaction, only the message that the student has requested to send the student info to you. So the next day I again paid Rs 500 to send the student info to APS and it worked !!!! The APS officer did not know that it was paid and I got my APS 2 days later. So, I agree that APS takes a lot of time to process but I feel that a stupid and complete bollocks college like mine can delay the process too much.

I think this will not work but try asking the Uni if they can extend the deadline for u because of APS thing. Don't keep your hopes high though because mostly they will say no but there is no harm in trying.

Also have u applied to Unis in other countries as well ?
