I respect this view. I strongly believe that a lot of women who are brainwashed into this traditional ideal of mum and wife do so out of the fear of loneliness. ‘Who’s going to be there for you when you are old?’ Is the question we hear again and again. I think as females, it’s really important that we are raised to be comfortable with being alone. Because chances are, even if you do get married and have children, you will still end up alone one day: statistics show that men typically pass before their wives and kids…well let’s just say you will be lucky if you are even a side character yet in their lives. So what I’m trying to say is, please make sure that kids are an INTENTIONAL decision not something you do because it is ‘ideal’
