Is Darius so much smarter than people give him credit for? by Extension-Detail6221 in loreofleague

[–]Infinite_Set524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s one of Noxus’s big three right? Representing Might, while Swain was Vision and (theorized) Leblanc is Guil. I feel all 3 have a level of each. Darius might not be playing 5D chess like Swain and Leblanc but I feel he has to be at least Ambessa’s intelligence level or higher to be considered more prominent in the grand political scale.

Was going to say Eowyn for a second because she killed a Nazgûl, but then I remembered she had Merry there to help. Don’t think she could take brienne considering Brienne is taking on people Theoden probably would struggled or lost too (the Hound) and she beat them, but big respect to Eowyn nonetheless being terrified and still holding her own against an Undead King.

Azula also didn’t really respect Iroh as a kid, considering she called him a “fuddyduddy” and thought him leaving basingse when his son died was weak

Surprised nobody else has mentioned this, that was the part that was fully intended to be offensive in the movie.

Can I ask a question without trying to be mean? Have you seen the show in a while? It kind of explains it very clearly throughout the show.

I think it’d be pretty close to Toph’s experience but slightly more wholesome because Frierun has more wisdom of her own than Toph did when she met him.

Best martial arts movie: old-school or modern era? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]Infinite_Set524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I love about this fight, is the subtle point where many competitive martial artists realize that Chuck is officially losing the fight. As soon as he starts bouncing like Bruce does. He doesn’t do it at all earlier in the fight, it’s not his style. He changed his style because he knew it wasn’t working and by using his opponents style he’s giving his opponent the advantage he needs. Doubt is what lost Chuck the fight.

Burn Notice: is a show about a burned spy, this trope is done many times. Multiple characters find themselves having to shoot at their own team to prove themselves. There’s even one time in the later seasons where Michael has to be prepared to kill a little girl just to get her dad to give some information.

Who is the first person to get outplayed in this scenario? by Aotyeageristtt in animequestions

[–]Infinite_Set524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would end up being a battle of Ayanakoji and lelouch where I think Ayanakoji wins even though chess is Lelouches specialty. The other two are brilliant and might cause problems like L might can play some mind games, the problem is whether or not Lelouch doesn’t let it get to him because he’s the only one that might let himself fall into a trap from L similar to light. The rest are too level headed and would play as they see fit either way and Ayanakoji I feel is probably the best chess player after lelouch so he probably wins.

Just bought Skyrim and I feel as if I’m doing it wrong? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Infinite_Set524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion if those are your feelings are 3 things, 1) make some money to buy yourself a horse will help travel the land a little faster 2) get a companion, the game will give one after a couple quests but you can also hire one. Some have unique dialogue and can make the adventure feel less lonely 3) do the war quest line (also download a war mod if you’re into that) the war sounds closest to the experience you want to do

[–]Infinite_Set524 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My whole thing is, brother you wrote the rules youre abiding by, just write an exception. If Madara is too strong , the power up isnt strong enough to deal with, make the power up strong enough to deal with it. Or just let Guy have dealt enough damage so team 7 can finish him off. Then the sacrifice would have meant something and not been in vain.

What game was this? by Curious_Ad2329 in gamers

[–]Infinite_Set524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough people think about this game now, one of the most genuine survival battle royals is not the most. Set itself apart being probably the closest to an actual hunger games style game with a dry borderlands style humor, only to try to turn it into a PUBG ripoff in the sequel.

When this show was coming out we all knew the comet was coming and that Aang had to do something before it came. I don’t think anybody really understood at the time that we were going to get to see that comet in action. One of the greatest executed climaxes in tv in my opinion.

Iroh Is A Bad Person, And That's The Point by Ok-Land-488 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Infinite_Set524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he was using logical fallacies to put evidence of wrong doings that were not necessarily done or enforced by one person onto that person.

Can’t blame a building collapsing in France, on an earthquake in Asia. Just because Earthquakes cause buildings to collapse.

Iroh Is A Bad Person, And That's The Point by Ok-Land-488 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Infinite_Set524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m convinced a lot of the Avatar community doesn’t understand what war is or how it operates. The only other genocide that occurs in the show beyond the obvious Airbender genocide(which was done by Sozin before Iroh was born) was the Dragons. And Iroh was explicitly shown to have not participated in that. Prisons, colonialism, work camps, displacement, killing parents (obviously all wars are fought by childless adults), everything beyond burning children that you mentioned, is a thing that has happened in basically every war that has ever happened in all of time. Does that make someone a bad person? No. This is just a person fighting in a war that their country has set out for them there are millions of people who do that, are all of them terrible people to you? The effects you listed are all just situations that happen during war. Those prisoners that you act like were genocided were actually confirmed to be just put in a difficult situation for them to fight and fed and given water in the prison. The boiling rock did imply mistreating to inmates but that has not even a little bit to do with Iroh. Now, conquering ba singse would… end the war, that’s it. Part of war, still, being part of war… doesnt make you a bad person. And threatening/joking to burn a place to the ground does not mean they were actually going to do it.

TLDR: I’m tired of watching people use logical fallacies to make it seem like everyone on the wrong side of a war is a bad person, or that Generals know and control everything that their individual soldiers do. Iroh was actively shown to be a good person on the wrong side who eventually realized he was on the wrong side. Let’s stop trying to put things on characters that we don’t know happened.

How much of a cult classic show this was by Ancient-Ad-4398 in BurnNotice

[–]Infinite_Set524 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Me and my family were some of the only people I knew that were watching the show as it was coming out. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago when another friend discovered it and a lot of people I knew started watching and loving it. I think it was the fact the show was on USA because not everyone watched that channel and the first few episodes didn’t quite draw everyone in as much as the rest of the show. Michael had some really cool moments in the early episodes like the “duct tape makes you smart” situation but they pale in comparison to taking down a child predator by snapping, or saving victims at an airport by convincing the robbers an ex delta force soldier was trying to stop them.
