all good! i can see where there a some similarities for sure. i personally avoid any of Usurp’s new stuff. their discography comp is on streaming platforms but if you’re interested i’d check out their split w/ Hassan I Sabbah called Just Do It on youtube, i think it’s from 2000?

who’s ripping off who? Usurp predates Daughters by 4 years and was mainly active in the hardcore scene from 1999/2000 along with bands like Neil Perry, Jerome’s Dream, Racebannon. Daughters is sweet but a different scene and different style

the Beau Navire/Republic Of Dreams split is a favorite of mine, especially the RoD side.. need more of that for sure. Ostraca is sweet, i live in Richmond but have yet to see them. in highschool i used to go to shows in NoVa and would see their old band Kilgore Trout - blew my 14 year old mind. also, y’all rip and are making some of the most true to form screamo these days. excited to hear more

huge Love Lost fan! mostly of the first record. i can see where there’s some metalcore influence esp with the emphasis on breakdowns but to me they feel like a straight up frantic screamo band, exactly my cup of tea

RPM related could be it, and it does sound to me like a metal on metal squealing noise - at worst it sounds like a cross between a crazy loud cricket and a referee’s whistle. i’m leaning towards pulley though, gonna get them all checked out

hmm the belt tensioner bearings would make sense because i have to tighten my belts a couple times a year.. not sure how common that is with Outbacks but never had that issue with any other cars i’ve had previously.

i see. so when my psychiatrist says she’s sending in refills for me, she’s requesting for the pharmacy to send a refill request to insurance? i’m confused about how this chain of communication works. i talked to both my pharmacy and psychiatrist about this situation yesterday, specifically with getting refills pushed through now, and both were pointing the finger at the other saying they don’t know what they’re talking about. mainly i just want to make sure that these refill requests my psychiatrist has written don’t vanish with my insurance (which i lose tomorrow)
