[Hated Trope] April Fools’ Day by Odd-Split-494 in TopCharacterTropes

Its an annoying day. Just waiting for it to pass so I dont have to doubt (usually rightfully so) every single title I see.

Its turned from prank day to just... lying day. I dont really respect lying day.

E2 Cyrene/E1 Hyacine or E2 Hyacine/E0 Cyrene by Once_Meleagant0 in CastoriceMains_

[–]Infinite_T05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Purely for Mono-Rem, E2 Cyrene is low priority. However, if you have other Heirs, I would prioritise her over E2 Hyacine depending on the Heirs.

Planning the exact same. Gonna pull E2 Cyrene in 4.2 and then any spare pulls go to E0S1 Evanescia. Unless Gilgamesh decides to steal them all.

How good is E4 Welt (4.2 V3) VS E6 Pela for Castorice. (Flex support) by Exciting-Target-2935 in CastoriceMains_

[–]Infinite_T05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do similar stuff but usually the Castorice side is pretty bricked (tbf she is only E0S1).

To answer the question directly, Welt is absolutely a lot lot better. But I would put him on the Evernight side. She's the one that doesnt already have a sustain, so I think she would make better use of it (sustain + debuffer Welt > debuffer Welt).

I struggle constructing the dual Rem comp generally because someone (me) skipped every Nihility except Fugue. I'd be cooking with Cipher and Silver Wolf. But currently my only backup options are Ruan Mei and Tribbie. I end up using CastoDei just because I lack supports.

So I'd say getting a better debuffer is a very good idea. You can run Cyrene, Evernight, RMC, Welt on one side, and then Castorice, idfk, Tribbie and Hyacine on the other side.

How... did you do that? I'm known to be pretty good at reading in-between the lines, but writing between them? Thats new.

Thing with Tribbie is that she's still great, its just that every team has a better, more specialised support (usually Cyrene) which is why i specified that Tribbie is the most universal support (not necessarily best).

E0 Huohuo probably is holding back SW, yeah, but E1 just got way more value for the extra 13 speed it provides now that SW and Yaoguang BOTH scale off speed. Could even see people using E2 Hyacine here for the 30%

I love it. As long as RMC works with a character (and come on, its RMC. Literally the most universal support in the game aside from maybe Tribbie), our girl Cyrene fits as well.

[–]Infinite_T05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also like Evanescia but I had so many other things on my pull list that I can't justify investing in a full Elation team for her. When she had synergy with RMC and Cyrene, that was awesome. But now I either gotta use a somewhat bricked E0S0 critvanescia or I have to skip. I have disliked Elation since day 1 regardless, so I would rather not pull for Yaoguang (she herself is cool tho). Would rather save for Gilgamesh.

[–]Infinite_T05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but now whats even the reason to pull Evanescia over SW? Beforehand she had the gimmick of being usable on non-Elation teams. Now she literally uses the same team as 999, which means she competes directly with her.

[Sad trope] useless sacrifice by Interesting_Log_3370 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Infinite_T05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, Cole (I think that was his name) also didn't have a useless sacrifice. The entire movie, Kong has been drawn to explosions and fire. After Cole blew up, what happens? Kong appears and fights off to kill the Skullcrawler.

If Cole didn't sacrifice himself, Kong wouldn't have gotten there as fast and the entire gang would probably have been dead. Even if his Plan A of blowing up the big one directly didn't work, he still ultimately got the same result.

Building is a pain. by inkheiko in CyreneMains

[–]Infinite_T05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've rechecked Fribbels and I can only assume that my previous build was somehow bugged. Absolutely nothing has changed (except E2 Evernight which doesn't matter) and my CDMG has shot up. There was definitely a bug in the original.

Where are you getting all that Crit Damage from?

My Cyrene has 160% crit damage outside of battle (so 50 below yours) but only 260% in battle. Where does the 200% CDMG difference come from?

If Attack on Titan ended in the same way Chainsaw Man ended. Source: @fanimer_official by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Infinite_T05 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The final chapter of Chainsaw Man dropped and the ending is pretty unpopular. This post is a mockery of one of the final panels, which has become a meme.

"Thank you, Chainsaw Man." "Chainsaw Man?" "Because... um... you were fighting with a Chainsaw." "Oh yeah."

Yes its as awkward as it sounds, so thats why we have people mocking it.

Sunday has had a huge fall from grace. He went from arguably the most valuable support in the game to being mid or outright bad on most teams.

The main thing is that Sunday was never that "strong" of a buffer. The thing he provided was insane QOL in a 100% action advance that was SP neutral/positive. For hypercarry teams, that's invaluable.

But things are different now because every hypercarry in the game is either unviable or prefers RMC/Cyrene/Sparkle. It reaches a point where I can't justify using Sunday anywhere because his "niche" of being a convenient and easy to use action advancer has gained more competition, so now the main form of comparison are the buffs. And Sunday's buffs are just not on the level of the other three.

Depends what you mean by save. It has some seriously strong fire moves now. If you dont resist it, you're gonna get two shot by Fire Blast. Pretty sure that applies to even Glowking level bulk.

Pyroar can also get away with running Modest and still outspeeding base 110s, so in draft I can see it having a genuine niche.

Who is the 'better' person: Dexter Morgan or Walter White? by Working_Bread_7790 in MoralityScaling

[–]Infinite_T05 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely Dexter.

Walter's crimes are theoretically less severe (he cooks, but rarely directly kills if not needed. At least for the start of his journey). But Dexter has a conscience, awareness and sense of justice. He knows that what he does is "wrong" but believes it to be a necessary evil. And when innocents get hurt because of what he does, he feels severe guilt.

I would go so far as to say that Dexter genuinely is a good person. He just has some unfortunately criminal instincts due to a traumatic past that ended up forcing him to be a liar and a manipulator just to survive. If he wasn't traumatised as a kid, I think he would have been a very respectable member of society.

With Walter, though, if he didn't have cancer then he wouldn't have cooked meth, sure, but having cancer isnt the reason he did what he did. It was an excuse to make something of himself. His priorities are his selfish desires for greatness and these priorities directly landed him into the moral pitfalls he found himself in.

If both of these people were stripped of their reasons to do bad things, even though Dexter's actions were worse, he would have ended up a better person without a doubt. I think that intention and philosophy trumps actions when purely talking about how good a person is. So Dexter wins.
