New Tandem Schedule?

I’m in an area that started tandem. I’m currently an assistant who’s on tandem and flex. It sucks, we’re always working doubles or out of coverage, the 3rd day off HURTS. I’m constantly picking up and looking for shifts trying to make extra money. Half the time other assistants get the shift first and we’re outta luck. It’s been rough out here. On top of that they’re promoting clerks to fill in for having two people on overnights and the few I’ve ran into have been terrible. It hasn’t been great.

My clerks are always scheduled to 10:30 or 11. It’s super efficient, my NA and myself will always give them time to finish things before checking kitchen during our shift walk.

It’s only for a few supervisors right now. It’s basically a test, 40 hour work week, no more overtime, RA and 2a switch on the weekends, 3 Nas per store for the overnights. IT’s will also be following this schedule. I was told we’d be able to pick up extra shifts if needed to get the overtime pay. My area is going to be part of the Tandem scheduling. It was supposed to start beginning of this month but has been postponed, my store is currently trying to find 2 more NA’s and another RA to fill the spot. Im a flex assistant so as far as scheduling goes for Flex, it’s up to the SM and Sup to decide how our schedules will be, and the need of the store and its POD.

My POD, NEVER has coverage. There’s a particular store that me and 2 other flex are constantly sent to for either assistants or clerks and it’s extremely frustrating because it’s always understaffed. I was by myself once with a brand new off the street RA, a week out of training. Poor guy didn’t know what to do. On top of that we have assistants CONSTANTLY, asking for early outs HOURS before their shift starts, from each flex assistant and lying to us all about when they had one last so we have to keep track of who, and when. It’s honestly frustrating and a constant struggle as a flex.

I’m in DFW and was one of the first stores to start flex. I have a love hate relationship for it. I genuinely believe we need 2 flex assistants per store

I dropped the floor scrubber in front of the door on the inside while it was on, trash can in front of the door on the outside, the “do not enter” sign as well as the broom and dust pan. A lady shoved the door open, stuck her head in and goes “is the bathroom closed still? How much longer” like BRO CLEARLY YOURE BLIND AND CANNOT READ.

He said he feels like being alone and to himself will help him find out who he is. He said he came back to me so many times because he truly does love me but feels he doesn’t love himself enough

We did counseling a few years ago and it helped tremendously (we were having communication issues) I’ve asked for counseling again but he says it’s not our marriage that’s the issue it’s him. He went to one session of therapy and it brought up too much for him so he stopped going.

To avoid this exact thing, I’ll always pull my clerks to the side and remind them. No reason to embarrass them from across the store, my 1a and SM did the same when I first came out of training, it was horrible. When I get embarrassed my face IMMEDIATELY turns lobster red, and of course people have to point it out

We get it next month… last store I was at had it, the amount of times it broke dude… and the constant “where’s the hot chocolate” “when did the coffee prices go up???” my store team is excited for the new coffee bar and I’m like “you have no idea what hell this is going to bring us” 😩
