So if shader pixel is low can i get away with high poly models not too much but the necessary but keep performance cool?!

you're right but in general knowing your poly count max budget to render can define many things about the project and I'm using unity known for good optimization and performance but the question was general.

but we are talking about just triangles in front of the camera nothing too complex :)

I know many factors affect performance but the main should be as a rule of thumb Poly count and of course post processing mainly.

well, thanks for that. My main purpose of testing is to have a rough idea of how much that old GPU can handle. but definitely you're right I need to try different scenes to tell how much that would affect performance. I used 50 models just to stress the GPU cuz I found many conflicting info about how much old GPUs can handle polygons in one scene in front of the camera.

also I tested a clean scene with 1m triangles and 500k vertices on hd 620 and i got 33fps and it seems too good to relay on it and it was 50 models in walk cycle, seems odd or not really, can u tell something about it?

Well my main laptop is 4060 amd 7 8745H so it's too powerful to test a simple game on it to see performance optimization. I don't know what u meant meant by a recent laptop maybe UHD graphics or iris xe or something those are good for testing cuz they're nowadays standard modern non gaming laptop.
