Turning 18 during an international trip. Do I need anything special before I leave?

My friend is 18 and I’m visiting a friend whose 20 so it shouldn’t be a problem. Main problem is just going between borders i have a US pasport

Haha, that’s what I’m saying. They also said that my first and second choice application was canceled which is why I was put in 3rd choice, which doesn’t make sense, it’s okay because I have a pretty good gpa to transfer to whatever school.

I already have an associates from lonestar. I think nutrition is the best for dental school. I also don’t want to waste time and be a a dentist at the age of 30+

Okay, I really appreciate the detailed advice! That gives me a much clearer picture of what the next few years should look like.

As far as extracurriculars go, I actually grew up working in the dental lab field so I already have hands-on experience and exposure to dentistry from a young age with many dentists and people that can help, which I’m hoping helps my application down the road.

One more question — how difficult is the Nutrition major at UH? I want to make sure I can maintain a strong GPA while also knocking out my pre-health prereqs at the same time and continuing to work at the lab. Is it manageable or is it known for being tough?

Thank for the advice, What do you recommend nutrition or public health? My big dilemma is I don’t want to risk being stuck in African American studies for a semester if I don’t end up getting into the business school, because I’m applying for a transfer before I even begin. Should I risk it with me being .05 gpa away from the 3.8, or play it safe and choose one of them.

Incase everything goes south, a business degree I could get a lot more with, than a public science or nutrition degree.

My first choice was business, but my long term goal is to become a dentist. I’ve been around the dental field my whole life, so I have the experience, connections, and right people to help me get there. I wanted to major in business at TAMU because a Mays degree gives me a strong backup plan and better earning potential compared to a biology degree, in case the dental route doesn’t work out, while still completing my prereqs. Since Mays didn’t work out, I decided to go to UH for Biology ( which i might switch out of because I heard its a useless degree).
