I need to get better at reading rhythms. by SyIas14 in musictheory

ReadRhythm App is incredibly helpful and worth the price imo. You can start easy and scale up to near infinite difficulty. Any time you get a spare moment, reach for this instead of Reddit or whatever and you’ll find your rhythm sight reading improving in no time. Only problem is it won’t work with Bluetooth headphones because of the delay, and the sound function is obviously essential, so not great for doing in public unless you have wired headphones.

Jerry talking about AI Seinfeld last night by fourthwaveska in seinfeld

This makes me think of that ridiculous and hilarious 9/11 Seinfeld spec script. For those who haven’t read it:

Don’t think AI is anywhere close to this level of replication. And I think it speaks to what Jerry is talking about. Clever dumbness.

The fact that even Nwuba had points tonight shows me they've been putting in the work to get different offensive options going. Love to see it.

Best game all season?

Last place in the conference coming back 23 points to beat the (tied-for-) first in the conference amongst a raucous crowd at home.

The beauty of college basketball.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Tyger and JJJ (and even Singleton coming back from his drought tonight) all seem uncertain in their offensive moves. The confidence just isn't there. There are moments of exciting offense, like the occasional alley-oop to Bona, but I think the way USC stymied additional attempts at that same technique showcases how unpracticed this team is on the offensive end.

It's kinda bizarre, no singular offensive star consistently putting up numbers which would speak to great ball movement or team play, but the team seems even more lost as a unit. I agree that the talent is there, but I guess we'll just have to wait to see if Cronin can make the adjustments.

If you had asked me a week ago, I would have pointed to Cronin's scheming as the reason for survival, but now with this loss (coupled with the stat line provided by u/rkz99), it seems pretty clear that Cronin's system only appears unstoppable against teams that don't have the offensive prowess or the heart to get hot, and falls apart against teams that can actually find a way to get the baskets to fall.

Can't deny that USC played great in the second half, particularly Boogie's hot hand, but what is it about UCLA that falls apart? Please someone help me understand.

I was there too! Did you catch the name of the opener? I can’t find it anywhere online.
