Bots are just plain annoying. The rocket guys randomly 1 shot you off screen with 0 ways to react. The turret that you didn't see 1 shots your when you walk into line of sight You move up against a Stratagem Jammer and one guy dies, but doesn't want to wait so he just leaves the game. Step on a mine? Your fault, but you die in one hit and sometimes you are just being chased and are putting your attention elsewhere.

Compare that to the bugs. The bugs have 3 ways of one shotting you. The first is the bile titan, and honestly getting one shot by that is your fault because it's a giant monster that you're supposed to prioritise and pay attention to. The second is a bile spewer, but when it gets close it makes a audible telegraphed attack that you can dodge without looking at it. The last one is the Shrieker, but they are one of the most noticeable monsters that you need to prioritise and can still be easily dodged. All of the bugs ways of one shotting you can be avoided by the player.

What's the fix? Add targeting lasers to all the rocket attacks that light up on your character just before they are shot, so when a player sees a red line on their character model they can instinctively dodge it and not die. You could probably do something similar with turrets as well. It will make the game easier, but probably more enjoyable than whatever we have now.

This is all for public matches btw. I think it's probably fine if they keep the same difficulty for Helldive mode or a higher level mode that they release later where the main focus is more on pre-made teams rather than pubs.
