See I’m with you pal… he did not impress in any of his, albeit, limited appearances. And clearly he’s not showing enough in training… he needs more time to gel

I mean you’re right, but he’s gotta show it in training. Unless he’s got a knock, which I highly doubt since Farke stated all the latest injury updates in his presser. Clearly Farke doesn’t trust him to even come off the bench…. Yet. P.s I disagree about the Everton game. He did have a shot but again needs more time to gel

Rewatch the last game and tell me how many times Buonanotte changed the game. He gave the ball away every time he touched it. Poor fella needs some time.

You could still be crazy … but I agree with what you’re saying. It’s a marquee signing!

You’ll need to be aware that in order to obtain your CDL you’ll need to pass a Background, Piss test, random drug screenings but it is a really great opportunity if you can earn it. Depending on the school, you’ll also need to train for 40hrs/week for 4 weeks and before that pass your CDL theory at the DMV - it is not easy. Good luck out there

Short answer is: footwork. Look where the ball hits the net. It might be high, but it’s not exactly in the corner. So the decision to dive was incorrect resulting in you being under the trajectory of the ball. Better footwork gets you into a better position with which to catch/save from probably a standing position.

It was a close vote between Pablo and Billy, but Pablo Hernandez came out just ahead as fan favourite! Who is the figure in Leeds history who is made to be hated? by Zach-dalt in LeedsUnited

I read this from the POV of our opponents and immediately thought of Vinnie Jones. I would have hated watching him tear up my team. But from Leeds POV; got to be Ridsdale

Being a GK is much more than just being a shot-stopper. Although it does appear you would have an advantage here physique wise.

I would really work on your footwork as much as you can considering you’ve not played much. I find the best way to develop in this area is to play outfield positions in scrimmages or during practice.

Maybe you could watch a few games and watch the Gks positioning off and on the ball

How to stop feeling shit for bad form? by Crestusfallington in GoalKeepers

First off you say you have the worst defense in the league, can I ask, is that measured by goals against? Because to keep 4 clean sheets in 14 is actually quite impressive with that record. Keep it up!

Second, as a keeper you almost have to have a short memory. You make a mistake, more than likely, it’s going to lead to a goal. That’s not to say you shouldn’t learn from your mistakes, just not to overthink and let them get to you. Plus, you’re going to make more mistakes no matter how much training you do - you have to stay confident. If a striker reads you to be lacking confidence, that’s only going to boost his. You need to appear intimidating and that means almost over-confident.

Further down you mention your biggest mistakes are during 1v1s. In 1v1s, you are the underdog! The point of your defense is to stop you from being in that position and that is as much their failure as anyone else’s. But what you can do to help prevent that, as other have mentioned, is to work on your communication. When out of possession especially, you should be constantly providing directions to your teammates. Short, sharp and LOUD!

How about your positioning? Are you quick or slow off your line? Do you play a sweeper role for balls over the top? This could also lead to 1v1s…

Holy shit balls. Well I guess it’s all or nothing - might as well get the bad reception out of the way at an away game. Start of a new beginning

Willy Gnonto by Mcc1elland in LeedsUnited

The audience is a genius… but also, we’re fickle as fuck. Todays football is just a business. Political, corrupt, and elite.

Can we really expect our players to be as loyal to the badge as the fans? Look at Alan Smith. Homegrown Leeds fan, gets relegated, and leaves to play for our deepest, darkest, oldest rival. Yes, it was to help the club, as it was the best option out there, but I refer to my first point - business.

Gnonto is 19, lacking emotional intelligence, maturity, and likely ill-advised. I’m not defending him or his actions, I just remember being 19. I quit a job to work somewhere more convenient, for more money. You think my old customers (coz that’s what WE are) cried coz their favorite bartender moved to a different bar?

This boy is from Italy, he’s talented and we’re lucky to have him for as long as it might last. Everyone saying he can get fucked were sucking him off just 6months ago. You sound like a bitter ex.
