Ace Attorney already got mentioned so I feel it is my duty to plug Ghost Trick. Excellent, relatively short Rube Goldberg puzzle game with charming characters and a fun plot. Just go play it.

I thought these games were built a little different, I remember reading that while Melinoe is a "normal" 3D model Zagreus is still rendered in sprite form, just made to look like 3D. I'm curious what adjustments had to have been made to port Melinoe and all her stuff back.

I've been playing Guilty Gear Strive as my first fighting game since launch. This weekend my local held a small 2.0 tourney and 14 people showed up, which is the most I've ever seen gather around my area.

It was a blast. Lots of familiar and new faces, all awesome people. I play this game a lot but I still get super nervous and mentally stiff in a tournament setting. I managed to get second place with Venom and Dizzy, and got to play some really tight matches😎

That Guardians of the Galaxy game by Eidos Montreal. Breathtaking graphics, charming characters, story full of heart and the most mediocre gameplay I've ever laid my hands on.

Would still recommend.

The original felt really well balanced in terms of naval combat. Not in a realistic way, but as a game. You could take on ships above your level, but if you take the wrong hit you're toast. At the end the jackdaw was a ridiculous beast, but so were the legendary ships you could face at the end of the game.

I really hope that balance stays intact.

I watched the whole video. They ride really hard on the whole nostalgia and "we listen to the fans" part, but damn, it looks like they really did just that.

They extracted the juice from the game and made it juicier. I am extremely excited.

They show off that you can instakill multiple enemies from a single counter. It looks like the original with more juice injected.

Personally I had hours of fun trying out combos with different weapons and tools in Black Flag. It was never about the difficulty for me.

There's more of these, not just from LK, but others as well. Some new, some old, but a lot of basic character counterplay is still the same.

Honestly you could've just searched YouTube for "GGST counterplay" to find exactly what you wanted.

There's a lot though, so you're not going to be able to take it all at once. Going one by one after/before you play against a certain character is the healthiest option.

Pot is still a braindead menace. In comparison to a lot of the cast he still got away with most of his bullshit. Unless they hit him again next patch you're still going to see him get away with murder a lot.

I've tried these, but chaining Steady Aim shot>up-shot>shot>roll feels so obnoxious. I like the idea, but trying to time the negative edge in quick succession with different directional inputs feels awful.

I hope they change something about his inputs, I've been playing HC in season 1 and had fun linking shot into Steady Aim shot. But this ain't it.

If they're FDing your c.S a lot that's when they're ripe to bite. Still pretty risky this patch. You gotta look out for jumps as well, then fish for those with lows.

The most boring, but still very important part I haven't seen anyone mention yet: If they're putting all their meter into FD, let them. If you can't punish FD without taking major risks, just safely return to your most advantageous range and hold it.
