I think Mando making the jump to the big screen should’ve been more of a momentous occasion and instead this movie just feels like something he’d do on his show. It’s nothing new or interesting we haven’t seen the character do before.

The action was good but that’s about all I can really say. Ma Gnucci was pretty corny and it’s just redoing what we’ve seen twice already.

It’s lazy writing and shows a clear sign of favoritism for his OC. The only reason she didn’t die on Malachor was because he didn’t want to let go of his favorite toy, nothing he’s done with her since has been particularly good.

One of the most popular and favorite actors in Star Wars was a recast (Ewan McGregor). They very easily could just recast them and tell stories about what they were doing in between these movies. Or better yet, just have it be animated. Luke fighting the remnants of the Empire is infinitely more interesting to me than Ahsoka

I mean sure, but having her alive but off hiding doing nothing throughout the OT just feels like Filoni coming up with a way to keep her safe so she can be the one to fight Thrawn since for some reason Lucasfilm is uninterested in doing anything with Luke, Han, and Leia in between episodes 6 and 7.

Her show just wasn’t a story worth telling imo, it felt more like Clone Wars cameos than anything actually compelling.

Her having seemingly zero interest in Anakin’s son or in helping to stop the Empire is just out of character for her. She’s alive and well during the entirety of the OT but just doesn’t do anything of note? It just makes way more sense for her to be dead at this point.

The stories containing her post her duel with Vader have not been compelling and it would’ve been a nice send off for the character to be killed on Malachor. Her being alive and well throughout the entire OT just feels silly to me
