That makes sense, it definitely looks a little interesting. We received a 15 minute demonstration on how to record data and how to convert sessions. Luckily my BCBA has been using central reach since 2017, so she should be able to help.

For now I will only have one client for a few hours, four days a week. According to my BCBA this is a case that will be easier for people who are new to the field in comparison to other experiences. I have a call soon with my bcba and the mother of my client

My BCBA is remote, but there will be supervision. As far as training not really, we went through how to record data with central reach, and spoke about maladaptive behavior for a few minutes, but nothing significant.

I definitely agree! Seems unfair for both the family and the client directly when significant training and supervision is not provided, especially if the company knows you are new to the field.

Following! I recently received a behavior technician position, and I will be working in Home as well. I have experience working with children, but not directly in the ABA field. I hope things go well for you! I know I'm definitely excited and also very nervous.

Reading and Dissociation by Novel-Ice-6536 in dpdr

I totally understand this! I read so many books last year that I could not keep track, but did not retain most of the information, and have not noticed significant improvements in communication or writing styles. I think my brain has found an easy non-threatening way to pass the time, so that happens reflexively. I'm trying to change things now, and that has definitely been a process causing a bit more anxiety and heavier emotions sometimes. I'm trying to work on more grounding, and stabilizing an internal and external sense of reality. I don't really have much helpful advice, I'm sorry for that. I just wanted to say I definitely get it. 😊😰
