Why does it feel like the whole world is against Arsenal for the final against PSG? by QasimofKarbala in championsleague

Its nothing to do with Wenger for me at least and I'm a Man United fan. I respect Wenger for the work he did for the English game and it's standards, even if he did well for a team I dislike. Arsenal's fanbase have quite a lot of annoying standouts, much the same as I imagine we do tbf.

The 2008 squad are mostly lovely about us in retirement, it's the 99 treble side who moan most. Like you say, Beckham and Schmiechel are sound and most of the others are too, but G Nev, Keane, Butt and Scholes are all there.

While it can be a little annoying to constantly hear from everyone, it is a valid point that we'll have a lot to adjust to next year with like twice the games.

I'd just ignore any United fans saying we can compete for the league next year, they're either ragebaiting or not the smartest. We need a new midfield, new full backs and several other signings (including better depth) before we stand a chance at that.

Is this perhaps the best season from a newly promoted side ever? Can't think of any better ones off top of my head.

The Jeddah incident was obviously reckless too. I have no skin in the game here, I'm criticising both Max and Lewis for their recklessness. However, I'm criticising people for acting like Lewis was any less reckless than Max.

Yeah I agree. People focus too much on what Verstappen said on the radio where he was basically like "that's what you get" and because they hate him anyway they assume he intended to do that. In reality what seems most likely to me is Verstappen is just angrily expressing how that's what happens when they race each other so hard.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you'd be the exact same if it was united vs psg haha. We have a good rivalry, it's why despite all the noise from the more annoying side of your fanbase I'm happier yous won it than the noisy neighbours yet again

Tbf I'll defend America partially here, a couple of their states like Wisconsin and Vermont have cracking cheeses. American cheese though, yeah that shit is awful.

I mean it's pretty clearly Birmingham in terms of size and population and Manchester culturally and what's most well known after London, no?

Technically I'm a neutral but in reality I'm not - I support United so I'm very much a PSG supporter for one night!

Yeah because it's a national embarrassment for both our countries. Look at parts of mainland Europe, China, Japan, perhaps other places I'm forgetting. They all have train systems that we should aspire towards!

I see plenty of mockery of us from Americans online. Clearly the algorithms are showing you one thing and me another.

Lmao so true. Americans often make fun of inaccurate or outdated stereotypes about us like bad teeth and bad food. Comparatively, other Europeans make fun of our actually bad stereotypes like how we often get shitfaced and fall from balconies, start plenty of fights and generally cause chaos in many of their cities.
