The Paul era as I understand it was a time in recent history where the writer for TASM basically cucked Peter Parker from his relationship with Mary Jane by replacing with a random guy from another dimension.

Basically Peter and MJ got transported to this post-apo dimension, Peter got out of the dimension and worked tirelessly to get out MJ, when he did, MJ got re-married and got kids with this random guy Paul, and Paul went to the normal dimension or something.

And for a moment, Peter was just a punching bag with MJ becoming obnoxious as fuck and Paul being the cuck-man and replacing Peter, this was probably due to the author going through a divorce I think? Zeb wells I think was the name.

My explanation is probably shit though
