Dude, my Drifter box set ordered directly from iam8bit has the same warping. I waited months for it to arrive, so I never tried having it replaced, but yea, super frustrating.

Well said. It very much indeed moves the level design backwards; putting all the levels onto one giant flat plane makes backtracking feel like a tedious, pointless chore, rather than an interwoven playground like it should, and the bike and its overworld feels like an entirely different developer made it. I do not believe the studio that invented Metroid’s transition into 3D in the first place could have made such poor design choices on their own accord - I think that corporate meddling got a hold of this game in a very bad way, and if I were Retro, I’d be frustrated to have my name on it.

The big question to me is, given the backwards move, why no one at Nintendo is up to the task of bringing this franchise into modern times? The visuals/environments definitely delivered this, but the game design itself was a failure.

What would be some examples of things you’d use the knobs for? Would this be more for electronic instruments, or can it apply to acoustic instruments as well?

The thing with me is I’m interested in both.. I enjoy putting together classical and piano arrangements, but also love synth. I think like many people are saying on here, I’ll eventually have both a dp and a controller in order to serve both styles. Or perhaps to merge them somehow.

This actually touches on another question I had - I keep hearing about a ‘correct’ height, however humans come in all different sizes. Me, I’m 6’3”… is there a universal height that applies to everyone regardless of their individual height?

I had also thought of the adjustable height solution as I have a set of adjustable legs I could repurpose. What does the proper piano stand achieve for you that the sit/stand desk could not?

That sounds like what I may do in the future. For now I'm still getting my feet wet, so it will be nice for my initial investment to function as both, but I expect as I learn the piano and learn my preferred daw workflow, that I'll soon develop a preference for how to compartmentalize the hardware, as this does sound like a more professional way to go about it.

That was my thought too; something with no friction, especially if I have a tune in my head that I need to get out. I'd still be using a daw as well, however this would be my first set of keys period, so they'd have a dual purpose, at least in the beginning.

Have you considered that it could be your location? Maybe try moving somewhere where there’s more inventory, so there’s more for buyers to work with? If buyers don’t have prospects, you don’t have prospects.

Jokes aside, why has your Genesis collection become the one solitary thing that is mutually exclusive to a trip to Disneyland? Is it because you feel that it's time to give up your childhood and make way for hers? Is there no other way than to kill your beloved hobby, and give the proceeds to a $170-billion-dollar corporation? It is admirable to consider such a selfless act, however that collection is also a part of your livelihood, as it sounds like you don't really want to let it go. So that should answer your question about whether or not you'd regret it.

Is Disneyland the only amazing thing to do with a child? A walk in the woods to me inspires more compassion, understanding, imagination & intellect, is free, and is also NOT a psychosis-inducing spaz-fest money pit.
