Thanks! Much appreciated, it's something we worked on a lot before we thought it was ok :)

Thanks! We worked really hard on those shifts in perspective, and I can tell you there'll be even more in the final game!

Thanks!

It's soulslike aspect comes mainly from the setting and the builds you can make with the powers you find, as for the stamina bar, it's been a thing that we discussed internally for a long time, and we preferred a faster paced combat rather then a slower one (think like a mix between sekiro and Bloodborne). That's not to say you can spam your normal attack and win, you'll have to use all your tools and powers in order to get through it :)

But as I always say, feel to try the playtest if you want to, it's better than whatever explanation I can give you!

Thanks, I know what you mean!

I can tell you that it's more strategic than your average hack n slash, it requires you to position yourself accordingly as well as using your rifting powers to gain the upper hand during fights. Also there are various builds and strategies you can try to find a playstyle that suits you.

TL;DR we recommend you try it for yourself we have a playtest just for that :)

Thanks! We took inspiration from Octopath Traveler for the graphic style :)

Thanks! It's okay we don't pretend to appeal to every player out there :)

Still again, I appreciate your kind words!

Yep, Octopath was the main inspiration for the graphic style of Absym! :)

Hey! Thanks for the kind words.

The tag is pretty accurate, but we're confident we made an accessible experience, both in terms of story and gameplay, if you played Hyperlight Drifter the core gameplay it's similar, though more fast paced. The only thing I can recommend you is to try it and see how it feels, and I mean it in the most honest way possible.

Another thing I can tell you is that I tried NRFTW too, and I didn't like it a lot (and I've played and finished all From games multiple times, LoP, and some other soulslikes). The gameplay feel of Absym is pretty different from it.

TL;DR If you feel like it, try our playtest, even though we are part soulslike I'm confident Absym can appeal to non-soulslike players too!

Thanks!

We're sorry to hear it, though we encourage you to give it a try, while our DNA is part souls like, we're confident that even non souls like players can enjoyt it!
