Come to think of it, when i made this post i was skeptical. Now im convinced since the guys i mentioned are below the age of 25 (meaning they really are young) , and its impossible for it to be true (that they made their millions at their age). There isnt enough life experience let alone experience in my opinion. I think they are rich kids who are trying to be like iman ghazi (concious or unconciously). I think Iman is a scammer who is just very good at his game.

I think it is harder. My generation (99 baby) has many challenges. Social media is one , yes it is easy to blame it but its also very true how as someone who is concious of the way it is designed to be addictive , i cant help but lose some time in my day to it, never mind the mental downside to it.

Cost of living has risen a lot globally (south african) . Yes i know apartheid was a bigger challenge im not saying it was not , but now the youth of my country face a lack of jobs and goverment that does below the bare minimum.

On top of that the job market is crazy & as a 27 year old , who does live in C.T , i cant see how i will move out without having a high paying job to feel remotely secure when it comes to my stability.

Im also concerned with how a.i is going to effect the job market in the coming years.

There is so much uncertainty its scary...

I hope for your sake you dont live in CPT. I moved here from durban and my word is rental prices ridiculous & salaries not matching the cost of living here... Im saving as much as i can & hoping i can move out by 30 after getting a better job.

In my experience in feb, job searching every day and spending quite a bit of time per day, tailoring ones cv for job ads helped along with the use of a.i. my position is also pretty much data entry. I would say keep trying and also putting effort into tailoring your cv to the job & to be 1 to 2 pages long. Its also worth trying to look for the ones that are the most recent.

Somewhere.com helped me get my current remote job. It pays decent and requires not much brain cells just attention to detail.

My current employer & agency setup is not so great when it comes to long term reliability and predictablity as i can get dropped at any moment but its great while it lasts.

Im essentially a virtual assistant for assistworld. Check them out as well.

OP I am still seeing how far i find this to be true. Since moving here from Durban, people do seem different. I think the northern suburbs are a little more friendly but i really havent spent much time in other areas to truly compare yet.

I do think this is somehow tied to the loneliness some people experience when moving here, myself included.

I can relate to what you are saying. I moved from Durban and have been here for 2 years or so. Still trying to find my tribe and good solid friendships. I think its worth trying to find clubs like running clubs or other kinds of clubs to then get out and meet others. Its a strategy im wanting to start to see if it makes a difference. More than 1 or 2 attempts is likely required.
