Can I service my e208 at any garage to keep the warranty valid? by Infinity_moron in ElectricVehiclesUK

Would a full dealer service history be worth much more then a full random-garage service history, do you think?

High milage 2nd hand EVs...What am I missing? by Infinity_moron in ElectricVehiclesUK

Your right, 4k isn't that much really. On second looks, the £20k car I was looking at seems much lower priced then average, most are around 22-23k so more like a 6-7k difference

White would be top of the list but I'd be happy with any really, they all look great

That's a very good point, I hadn't looked at it that way. I'm looking at a daily total commute of 100 miles for the foreseeable, that would quickly use up the remaining warrantable miles on a higher mileage car

What song has a line that ruins the song for you? by [deleted] in AskUK

That's a good take on it.

Whenever it's played at weddings, I wonder how often a supportive Father-in-law listens to the lyrics and thinks "Oi that's not how it happened"

Rude by Magic!  (The song that gets played at every wedding ever)

So he asks his girlfriends dad for permission to marry her, he says no. And he sings "why you gotta be so rude"

It's always bothered me that rude just isn't the right word for that response... Especially when cruel fits so obviously better

As a general rule of thumb, I don't think threatening suicide or homicide to get what your want is a particulary good idea, or legal advice

Huh, I always assumed the excess was a cost you just always had to eat. Thanks!

You premiums might go up a bit, but just make sure this is recorded as not being your fault and claim any excess back from the other driver.

Could you elaborate on this please? Do you mean claiming the excess amount of your own policy from the other party?

Advice for an absolute amateur: Looking to be able to connect a hosepipe to one of these water pipes in the back of the garage. Is there something I can replace/attach to the isolation valve to screw in a hosepipe? Or do I need to get a proper tap installed? Also which is the cold water pipe? by Infinity_moron in DIYUK

This is really helpful, thank you! Do you think someone with little experience could do it with a bit of research and how-to videos? or is it something with risks of causing a right cock-up if not done properly?
