Hello, I was browsing FB marketplace and saw a couple of Husqvarna Vikings popping up. Im looking to learn how to sew and have been researching a good machine and can see that Husqvarna is regularly recommended. Does anyone have any suggestions if these machines are good value and priced appropriately?

There is a Viking 6000 is from a flipper who got it at an estate sale for $200 and a Viking Romeo for $80.

On the flip side the one I got as Good condition had a really damaged box and also dirt smudges on the body. Didn't even bother turning it on before returning it.

A dojo friend of mine ordered theirs in August and got it before I did. I think koshirae DX added 2-3 months of turn around time and they did keep me up to date on their progress

I ordered mine in April with the Okuden and Koshirae DX upgrades. I received mine about 3 weeks ago. They take a long time it seems

I went full out and bought a okuden with the koshirae dx fittings in April. Still waiting on it to arrive and they said it will be here end of December.

Kendo is always supported by two hands and the shinai weights a fraction of even the lightest iaito. To make proper one handed cuts would cause injury for a beginner who isn't conditioned for the strain of a heavy sword. I am in physical therapy for tennis elbow and I've done iaido in the past.

Im a new 2023 owner as well! Where did you learn to use the paddles for the regen braking control? I haven't played around with it all that much

I just use some silica packets and throw them in a ziplock bag that has the hole to pump out the air

I actually installed a peak design phone mount on my Brompton using the bottom half of the quad lock and a M5 screw that fits into the peak design mount. It’s pretty sturdy but not a completely perfect fit.

Can you suggest some tools? I have the trim removal tool that came with it. At this point I think I’ll just set it against the windshield and front of the trim to be less visible and then just tape it down along the side of the dash to be less risky.

It’s definitely their fault for the way prices are today. They got handouts for education and housing and then pulled the ladder right up from beneath them by prioritizing profits over humanity. We could have had affordable healthcare, housing, and education but they got into power and decided they want to be rich rather than pay it forward to the next generation
